Default Transmission/Color Survey

This is one of those questions originating in curiosity rather than any real need or importance, but I would like to see some input or data.

Has there been in previous generations, or is there among C7 buyers, any correlation between the car's colors and whether it is an auto or manual shift? In the market does anyone see any trends?

Interesting question, but since the majority of Vettes manufactured for many years have been autos I suspect there's little or no correlation between type of trans and color.

Same. Last C6 was CG/Auto, seems the lighter the color the more likely it will be an auto.

These are in order; never owned more than one at a time. My C2: Silver/Manual, C3 #1: Green/Manual, #2: Silver/Auto, #3: Green/Auto, C4: Red/Manual, C6: Black/ Auto, C7#1: Black/ Manual, #2: Midnight Race Blue/ Auto. I don't see a correlation here between color and trans. All were dark colors except the 2 Silver ones.

As a scientist, who has studied correlative data, I seriously doubt there is a correlation between color and transmission preference. But, to play along, mine is Lime Rock green 3LT coupe with kalahari interior, NPP exhaust, transparent roof with shade, manual tranny and machine-faced wheels.

Black with 8 Speed Paddle shift automatic - So much for the "Dark/Manual" theory.
