Price on a new bumper cover is $418.30 (from GM through a friend's body shop). The front grille is separate, though, depending on if you need it or not.

And that would not include it being painted. Right?

Correct. Paint work would be additional, depending on what your paint guy charges.

I need a grill also. What is the approximate price for the bumper to be painted? Some dump bitch backed into me in a parking lot. When I originally looked at the car I saw no damage. So I didn't get her information. Well yesterday my friend pointed out cracks to me. When the girl hit me I looked at the car in the shade and missed the cracks. I have barley had my car 1 month.

Would you guys recommend I get this done at the Chevy dealer? Or is a well known body shop good enough?

I would recommend a well known and highly recommended body shop. My local dealership uses an outside body shop anyway, so do some checking if you don't already know someone. Go by a couple of highly rated shops and get estimates. Sorry to hear that you got hit. That sucks.

My system shows $946.05 to get a bumper, paint it, and install it. Add a grille and it jumps up to $1290.03. Every shop will be different on price.

I would let comprehensive insurance handle it. Rates don't go up.
