Default Front plate install

Painted and clear coated the mount provided with C7 and plate frame. I think it came out pretty clean looking.

Holy crap! Was just talking In another thread about doing mine in carbon flash, but I have to say that looks sick! Where did you get the paint for it? Mine is CGM as well.

Automotivetouchup.com in the aerosol can. Paint very easy and flows smoothly. You need both base and clear coat.

I got both with mine. The other holder mounts too high for a clean look.

What kind of screws (type and size) did you use to mount the license plate? did you also use nuts on the back to secure the screws?

Don't know size and type, but they were in a blister pack at Advance Auto Parts. No nuts. Just make a very small hole with a punch and the screws will self tap.

Where did you purchase the slim plate frame. I would have preferred that over what I used.

Got it at AutoZone, made by Cruiser. Its metal, but can be bent to shape. I think it was $4.99.

Did you screw into the plate that has "Corvette" on it as well or did you just take that cover off and screw into the back piece?

I removed the Corvette cover piece and screwed in back. I also painted the Corvette plastic cover to use when I remove the plate for any reason. Thanks
