17,600 miles... tire pix
A couple of weeks ago I posted a note saying we had just returned from a West Coast trip... and that I would post more later.
Well... the Honey Dew list trumped that task for awhile. There were some questions about tire wear that went unanswered... until now.
Here are two photos I took today... the odo is at 17,630 miles.
Left front tire...
Left rear tire
and... a bonus... a shot coming across Nebraska on the way home... flat as a pancake... no traffic,,, cruise set at 82 (yeah, I know, I slowed to 77 to take the pix). Here it reads 30.5 for the last 50. It got as high as 31.5. The 45.6 was cheating, that was coming down from the continental divide the day before. Geeeze, photos show dusty dashboards... more about that when I finally post some pix, bad dust storm in Texas!

It looks like Michelin plans for a few burnouts to even out the tire wear. I will carry my tire wear micrometer the next time I drop by the Chevy dealer to drool. I wonder how much tread is on a brand new set? October is the earliest I will be able to enjoy a C7...still waiting on city approval to add another bay to the garage.

I should have said... Z51, Magnetic Ride, Performance Exhaust
Geeeze... yes!!!!
I should note this car came from Bowling Green aligned for tire wear, Both my C5 (98) and C7 (05) ate up the front tires in 22,000 miles.

New to see someone id DRIVING their car. Tire wear is very encouraging! Thanks for the post - looking forward to your pics.
I'm out the door to Ron Fellows for 3 days of abusing their rides. 750 more miles of smiles.
