CG with red calipers looks awesome. I'm so disappointed they dropped CG for 2015.
How would you compare the handling?

I am following threads like this closely - I have had two Vettes over past 15 years and am really on the fence between a 911 and the C7. I've never owned a Porsche and am curious to what the experience would be. On the other hand, I really like the C7 - and could look for a new Z06 for what a new 911 (with decent options) would cost....

Great color combination. I like the grey with the black wheels and red calipers. Very sharp!

I have a friend with a 997 Turbo S Cabriolet. She said she was never into Corvettes, but said she has seen a couple C7s on the road, and really likes the looks of the new one. She said it is "really good looking".

I almost traded my C7 for a 911S about a month ago. I drove the 911 for a long day and really liked it's overall handling and sound of the Sport Exhaust system in conjunction with the PDK tranny. I feel the Porsche is just a tad better in build and finish quality, and it shoud be for the price of the car.
Changed my mind the very last minute and got on the list for a Z06 at my local dealer that delivered my C7. Both a great cars and I feel you would be happy with either one.

Congrats!!! I keep thinking about it, but can not seem to pull the trigger, every time I drive my 911 I change my mind. No rush here, I would more than likely want a 2015 anyway with Supplier Pricing.

BUY AMERICAN!!
The C7 is a better car and a lot less $$. I have a friend who is very much into going to the Museum and watching Corvette progress.He has friends across the US switching to the C7. He said one friend had a lot of foreign sport cars and sold them and paid cash for the C7. Plus, he has $500,000 cash left over!!

Porsche has the PDK transmission which is one of best transmissions out there. If GM has made the A8 as good as they claim the C7 with the A8 would be a ridiculous bargain.

My 1973 was enough! The old iron is well old and is like a 90 year old keeping up with a 18 year old.

I'll try to answer some of the questions . The 911 handles great, but the electronic steering in the 991 has less road feel then the 997 had. I enjoyed my time with the 3 new 911's I had. This is my first corvette. I agree the build quality of the corvette is not yet quite to the same level as the porsche but the new C7 is a nice step in that direction. Coming out of the 2013 911 I do not feel like I stepped down, I actually like the C 7 3LT interior . When I say not quite the same level I mean, for example the leather on my passenger seat was not sewn straight on one of the corners and is bunched up. This is something that is not a big deal but it would not have been delivered this way on a Porsche or a Mercedes. My car has some scratches in the clear coat near the front which I plan to have buffed out and my car came with a nick in the driver front door. I am not trying nit pick , I am just saying the QC could be better. The exterior of the C7 in my opinion is nicest looking vette since the C2 . The C7 as all of you already know is a fun and exciting drivers car. I am still in the honey moon phase so I still find it exciting every time I get in it. Yes it can feel and sound like the muscle car it is but I am happy to report that this car handles great . After having 3 Porsches I just did not find the car too exciting anymore. The C7 acceleration is so fast that I am not able to really see what this car can do because I already at the speed limit barely getting out of second gear

They are both fantastic cars. Thanks for the insight from all of you!

There is an inherent difference between a front engine car and a rear engine car. The there is the pushrod V8 and the the smaller higher revving 6 cylinder.

The Corvette is a Muscle Car in a sleek lightweight body.

Porsche is====anything but.

I own a 13 991S Cab and I am just about ready to pull the trigger on a 15 C7 with X51. I think it is the first Corvette to hit my radar in a very long time.

Will I be trading my 911? The answer is no. The 911 is like my wife, the Corvette is my mistress.
