Would you consider this battery tender quality?
I received an email from Amazon the other day. Although I wasn't considering purchasing one of these the price made me think it might be worth having around. I've heard many of you guys talking about the excessive battery drain due to the extensive computer system in our cars. I've also seen some of you spend as much as 100 bucks on the GM product and was just wondering if this was a viable option? Although I am not a big fan of Black & Decker, I was hoping to see what others thought of this product? Your opinion would be great. I've also included the link if anyone else is interested.

The OEM Charger is a C-Tek US 0.8 with the Stingray Logo, lighter adapter and case for $99; C-Tek makes better charges than the Corvette OEM for less money: MU 4.3 is two steps above and retails for about $70 with the adapter.

I have been using a $20 wonder for the past 4 years with absolutely no trouble. That unit looks versatile with all the end configurations and you have a plug for the socket in the C7, go for it!

As to fuel, remember GM recommends Top Tier gasoline for the C7. Google it and I think you will see Costco as one of the providers.

It seems that the pulsing nature of the 3300 model would be very important feature that not all have. After it is charged up it switches to pulse maintenance. Desulfation with pulsing for sulfated batteries starts when battery charging amps drop to .4 amp currant. Keeping battery in good condition when not in use!

I have owned Battery Tenders (Battery Tender is a trade marked brand name) for my lawn mower, motorcycle and my C5.
The deal fell thru on a C7 I ordered and I was forced to buy one from dealers stock. The C7 was exactly the colors and options I ordered but it did not have the carbon fiber dash I wanted and it had the battery tender option which listed at $100. I seems well made but I am not sure if it is worth $100 and after almost 2 months of owning the car I have not used it yet.
The tender looks well made and probably worth it for someone that lives up north and does not drive it in the winter months.
I was seriously considering selling the tender for $50 but decided to keep it because $50 will not fill up an empty gas tank

If you watch the pennies, the dollars take care of themselves. Buying an equivalent product for less money is smart purchasing. If you think the value of a thing is based on its cost, I've got a super battery charger with TWO Corvette logos on it, that I'll sell to you for only $300 .. It actually PURIFIES the electricity before putting it into your battery.

Actually I spent $64K months ago and if you include my daily driver as well as my wife's car you can go ahead and times that by 3. However, I don't see what any of this has to do with my original question! I just happened to be spending the day with my wife Monday when she received an email from Amazon and ask me if there was anything I needed? This product caught my eye and since I've never owned one I just thought I'd ask a simple question. I will properly never use the thing and it will just sit in my workbench. More then likely a neighbor or friend will ask if I own one before I ever use it. At that point I will gladly help them out much like most of the guys helped me out on this thread. Don't get me wrong I do however appreciate your opinion.

Well you cant beat the price and all the better if the features add up. I went to the manual to check max amps which where 3.3 on the C-tec and max battery size, 90 AH. Frequency charging not sure about or if its comparable to pulse charging? This is the first trickle charger I have ever used always relied on old Monkey Ward 15 amp model that's still cookin!
