I don't recall anyone in this post asking you to give up a single penny out of your pocket. Like I said in my second post, if you feel that someone gave your more than expected for what you payed then you can give them a tip. If not, keep your hands in your pocket.

I think the folks at the Museum do great work and most people here have felt that they got more then they expected and have passed along a little thank you. If it's not your thing than that's fine but there's no need to be so angry towards people who want to.

Just curious Dave, what is the average annual income of a Corvette salesperson based on commision alone?

It not only varies from store to store, but from year to year.

We're a little different here where we out guys a salary and a flat fee per car. Our guys shouldn't be worried about negotiating, we want them concentrating on being product specialists and making sure that the customer is happy with their purchase.

I know that sounds like a line, but it's true. I started here 21 years ago and have been with Corvette since 1995 and it's always been that way.

How do you order a vehicle for pick up at the museum. I would like to order a 2015 Z06 and would like to pick up at the museum.

Its an order option. When you're going though the options you want for the car, there is one that is title museum delivery. Check that box.

If you are talking to a salesman in a good corvette dealership, they will know what you are talking about, just tell them.

Either way, I think it costs about $995.

But make sure you call the NCM to make sure what is included in the delivery so you know exactly what you are getting and if you want to schedule anything else on the same day that is not included in the delivery.

Default nightmare on Corvette Blvd

Our museum experience was beyond belief. I've got a tip for our guy. Find something you're good at and do that.

I think tipping is something you do for someone who is near minimum wage or makes their living from tips. Believe me, I'm a big tipper and have always been.

But tipping for paying $1000 to pick up a car? Sorry.... that's what I paid the grand for.
You are exactly correct. When I picked up mine I was going to tip and mentioned it to my son. He said dad what was the grand for? This isn't free is it? I kept my money in my pocked and my son and I had a great steak dinner that night. Oh, and I left a tip.

The salesman and dealership you buy the car from should send a tip to the NCM staff. They make the same amount as if they prep and deliver the car and never lay a hand on it. They are the big winners for NCM delivery.
