Default I Was Hot

Guys the lady friend got a C7 with the clear top and with the weather only in the mid 80's I felt like I was in a green house but she was as happy as could be. Walking through Wally World I saw The Sun Cutter rear mesh sunshade part # 804878 size 19'x40'. Do I dare invest $6.97 to see if this thing works. Well, for the sake of my forum brothers and sisters I bit the bullet and the thing is great. The fit is almost perfect, cuts the heat, you still see through it and temperature is way down. We are both happy and the install takes 3 to 8 seconds.

I would be careful about saying that. I would assume that the clear top has UV protection but it is not a given and likely not 100% protection from all UV types.

Through glass, some UV does make it through (they say it's equivalent to an SPF rating of about 30). Through plastic however (and the transparent top is plastic), it is very unlikely.....

I'll bet the fringe radical type groups in California will be passing some wacko legislation soon. We can't allow people to get the evil sun on them!

That's exactly why we did not get one down here in sunny Florida! It's not practical !

Yup...I think there is a current group buy going on thru DSV (Down South Vettes) on this forum. I used this product successfully for almost 6 yrs during FL & TX summers and it worked great. The $6.99 shade from Wally World (mentioned above) seems to be working so well I don't feel like springing for the $150+ @ this time.

The transparent roof is great and I would not want anything but on the coupe. There are a few options out there to protect you from the heat...
