Default 50 Shades....

Well...time for my first real post. Full disclosure, and currently somewhat ostracized by both my family and some friends, I have never been a GM loyalist. Quite the contrary, you could call me a ‘Chevy Hater’ - Mustang man through and through – owning several and never disappointed. However, post a middle 40’s heart attack a few months back (thank God I was in good shape – helped me through), I said to myself – it’s time to treat myself – no use the wife getting all my money. So, my search began with the new 2015 GT500. But, then my eyes were opened – holy crap, this new Vette is amazing. Still, I wanted to be objective, looked at Jag F Type, Audi’s, BMWs….But, no comparison, I had to have the new Vette.
But, to get past the most certain family backlash, and to completely leverage my recent health scare, I coined the phrase “I almost fu**ing died” – hence I am the proud owner of a new 2014 Z51 Coupe, NPP, 2LT, Adrenaline Red Cyber Gray Goddess – thanks and shout out to David Hamrick at David Stanley Chevrolet in Normal OK – you were awesome!!!
Mods include:
- Lowered on factory bolts
- Airraid – yeah yeah
- Fuse 41 removal
- Reflector Blackout Kit
- Front chrome brace blacked out
- Jacking Pads
- Splash Guards
- Defished
- Xpel bra / mirrors
- Tinted (20%)
- Replaced Factory Mats
- Rear Bumper Fascia Protector
Enough of the preamble…..
I was finally able to fully detail the car – Glen E  you rock. Your procedure worked beautifully!!! – this past Saturday starting at 4am – finished at 3pm after several multi-hour waits. And, this was totally stepping out of my comfort zone – I’ve never operated an Orbital Polisher, let alone owned one. Let me tell you, total apprehension the first time I turned that sucker on – ‘ahhh, what if I damage the paint – let me check youtube / autogeek.net one more time!!’…haha.
Here you go….could be better pics – but….Enjoy nonetheless

Welcome to the family. Life is too short to worry about non-sense. Just enjoy life, your family and now your Vette.

Better late than never.

Cheers

I got the --> GR-10813 - Griot's Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital Polish from autogeek.net. It worked GREAT.

Ask Glen e for his email - I followed his detailing procedure to a T. And for me, it worked great.

Congratulations on your new Vette. Great looking Vette. I am sure you will be hooked on Vettes for life now.

I ordered my Vette through David Stanley Chevrolet in Norman, OK on April 7th. The TPW is this week, with delivery sometime around June 1st.

Have fun in your new Vette.
