Yikes...so now that the folks at Tonawanda have building the engine down pat there is going to be a learning curve for the folks at BG??

I kinda liked that the LT1 is built in NY at a plant in existence since the 1930's...

I guess it makes sense to bring it in BG but hope they don't miss a beat...

They are building the LS-7's for the Z28 there. Soon, the LT-4 will be built there. The LT-1's are still built in Tonawanda.

No pics. Im not sure if all engine build is being dropped there or only the new "build your own" option will be built in BG. I was told it will be ready to go online in just 4 weeks.

Thats why you should never buy a first year Corvette. It never fails they always have boat loads of issues. They might not even have this car nailed down until 2016 im afraid. You have to hope GM is attacking this engine issue with a lot of aggression. If engines start failing in big numbers it could really be a death sentence for Corvette in general it being such a halo car for them. Im guessung the engine problems they are having is a design issue of the DOD feature.

Have you heard of the C6Z? Yeah, I don't think it's gonna matter.

Totally agree on the 1st year thing. NEVER buy a first year car. Wait 2-3. You'll get a better deal because the hype has died down, and you'll get a car that has the improvements from the first two years of production (all TSBs, recalls, and updated components).

But you'll be waiting while I'm enjoying my Stingray.

Yep, better deal because they'll cut a discount on the price that increased by $10K and you'll lose two more years depreciation on your trade. I'll grant there is truth in what he says about waiting, but in the final analysis Articblast is right... They'll be waiting while we are enjoying...
