Not even a comparison, and look at the value, you can prob get a z28 in the 40's now. Z28 is only good for the track and nothing else. It's heavy as hell and is the gen V camaro body (boat).

C7z is better at everything especially on the track. Again no comparison.
Truthfully, the Z/28 is probably the best bang-for-the-buck value out there at the present time in the car market. The engine, transmission, suspension components, and seats - alone - are worth 40K. It truly isn't just a track car - it's a very, very 'streetable' and I actually don't mind the bucking around, I have it on the track setting 75% of the time on the street.

People ultimately drive what they like or can reasonably afford. Seating positioning and comfort are big in my book. The Z/28's Recaro seats fit my body frame the best of any car I've ever owned and my right knee doesn't rub against a center console which I find, ultimately, incredibly comfortable. Although it's a little piggy @ 3,837 lbs (which I don't mind), the car can boogie!

No, it's technically not the fastest/quickest car around 'any track' nor should it be with 505HP. However, it could be quite nasty with a legit Lingenfelter package, etc.

I have appreciated the mega-transformation the Gen 5 Camaro went through in a mere five years - from literally a piece of crap car to a viable track competitor.

Is the Z/28 good looking to everybody? Of course not, just like most Mustang, Porsche, Dodge, etc., guys don't prefer the look of a corvette.

As mentioned, people buy/drive what suits there tastes and financial parameters best.

No offense but not sure what you're drinking. No comparison in looks.

Best of both worlds:
2013 ZL1
2017 Z06

Traded my 2015 ZL1 for a 2016 Z51 Stingray. Both cars - fantastic. For daily driving, and "seat of the pants thrill" I pick the Stingray. The Z06, in another league altogether! Would be interested in the Gen6 ZL1 comparison with the Z06...

Did they make you put on jean shorts, tuck your shirt in, and put on dad shoes when you bought a Vette?

I get your joke, but I'd say the old Camaro stereotype died when the brand was relaunched.

That mapping seems off... Wouldn't the Z07 map to the ZL1 ? The z51 to the z28 and the SS to the Stingray ?
