Wait...isn't someone also supposed to post the following...

"Pics, or it didn't happen!"

On a serious note, was everyone okay?

I am getting concerned about Thedoofus. My Dad stopped Driving at 90 and he didn't have any accidents or tickets. He just got too old.
actually, i was driving my other car, not any damage, just cracked a small light. i have thought about giving up driving, but then i read some posts here from my self appointed critics
(who, quite frankly ive missed--where you 2 guys been?), and have now decided there have to be much more dangerous people out there on the road than me.

im but, i have decided to give up responding to my emails when driving [just kidding, (1/2 the people here will think i m serious about that anyway)--stopped that a couple years ago].

i will make up a "Dofuss on Board" sign, in bright yellow. problem is you wont see me from behind, because of these silly laws preventing my posting signs in my windshield to obstruct my vision. a lot of good thats done me.

Doof, you're one of a kind my Friend.

Perhaps a flashing yellow light on the roof and one of those European sounding sirens.

Do me favor, be careful, OK?

I can imagine what his insurance premiums must be. Also, I hope he doesn't live in or move to Florida. We have enough distracted and dangerous drivers.

There is going to be a C7 for sale where he lives. No way can he afford what his insurance is going to be! I see a Kia in his future.

How is it possible that you only cracked the front light but managed to hit two cars?

If you are an optimist, you could consider yourself lucky this day-you could have either rear ended someone going to pick up your vette or rear ended someone on the way home from picking up your vette. Imagine the embarrassment of having to drive back to the repair shop and telling them to fix it again.

Seriously though, hope you are OK and the damage is minor.

Having said that, let's hope I don't rear end anyone on the way home.
arctic, he should have took your advice the last time he brought up this subject!

"Dufee,
You may want to just drive it broken till you wreck it again.
Sorry, just pickin' at you.
Seriously, I'd go with the shop that I thought would do better work. Period.
Stay off of those rear bumpers."

Default doofus

Hey guy I think I have a solution for you.

All you have to do is start driving in reverse and go half way around the block; then you will be heading in the direction you wanted to go in the first place. THUS NO MORE FRONT END DAMAGE.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Given how nasty people on the internet can be you are brave to post the story here. Hope you don't have any legal problems as a result of the accident and you have better fortune in the future.

Paul

regarding a haunted vehicle, I had an 86 Integra back in the day. It was an accident magnet. Was rear ended a couple of times, backed into, etc. Finally was laid to rest when a hit/run driver totaled it while it was parked in front of the house in the middle of the night. Never before or after that car have I owned a car that had been damaged so many times. One accident my fault out of quite a few. That one that was my fault... I rear ended a car that stopped suddenly not being able to stop in slippery water that was on the street because a gas station de-greased it's pump area and hosed it into the road.

In all seriousness, I'm sorry about your misfortunes. At least this time it wasn't the Vette.
