Please stop calling it "carbon" when it's so obviously not.

It is definitely Hydro. I did not want to spend $2K+++ for a real CF one from APSIS but I wanted the look at all the real CF stuff I have in the engine bay. It supposed to come before the end of the month. I hope Pat used decent core and not a core off a junk yard car that has cracked tabs and such. I'll post results.

In case anyone is considering this, I'll post my results.

First, I have used Pat's products since I first got my C6. He has always stood behind his products and any problems I had he quickly addressed.

The product arrived at my door on the last day promised, which took almost the entire month. It was packed in the original GM box, carefully wrapped. Once opened I inspected and did not note any flaws. There were no broken tabs as I have experienced with other vendors. The weatherstripping was installed and looked new. Also the pins were installed. So the only thing that had to be transferred were the wiper arms and the windshield wiper tubes.

Installation is about 15 minutes and is 1 on a 1 to 10 hardness scale. The only tricky part is to use a needlenose pliers to squeeze the tabs to enable the washer outlets to pull out. Here is an excellent Youtube on how to do it - not mine:

What I did not realize that once installed, there is a large hole that shows the frame under the cowl. Mine had some marks on it, as shown here. Very unslightly!

So I had some CF vinyl wrap handy and cut a small piece and placed it under the piece.Much better!

Here are the final results.Yes, I specifically have the pass wiper like that to hide it better.

It is really hard to tell the hydro from the real CF. I very happy with it.

On another note, Pat will either give you a discount on the part or buy back your core. I got mine for $400 "Best Offer" from flea bay, but I have seen others say he will pay $75 for your old core. He came to my house and picked up the core in person but no cash back for it.
