Florida imports them from Louisiana...

They will still etch into the clear bra.

Haven't so far. They rinse right off. Same with bird crap. I only have experience with Xpel though.

A friend at a car show a few weeks ago told me about the "bounce" method. I used a squirt bottle filled with water and placed a "Bounce" sheet in the bottle. Tried it out today and I have never seen anything like it! I just squirted the bugs and let it sit for a few minutes and hosed them off! They just slid right off........no scrubbing required!

Since all of the clear bras have clear coat, they are susceptible to etching just like your paint. Some think since they have clear bra they don't need to get them off right away. But even with a clear bra I would get them off as soon as possible.

I put three coats of Zaino on the front end and the side mirrors. It works great. I wipe with a wet towel and the love bugs are gone.

I have Ventureshield on the front of my car and I keep this coated with a polymer sealant. Every evening, I take 10 minutes to wash the love bugs off using Maguire's detailer spray. I never let them stay on the car overnight.

I just use a quick detailer spray on and a microfiber.

We don't seem to have as many of the nasty little SOB's down here as further north in Florida. However, last week we drove across to Ft. Lauderdale & back and had plenty of messy suicide bugs on my AW car. The dryer sheets do work great and I do have 3 coats of Zaino already. Still the bugs even get into the slots on the grill.

Hey Glen, leave some for the rest of us. You put a good dent in the population with that run.

Yesterday - Sat behind an empty dump truck on the TPK from Orlando to Yeehaw Junction (in my wife's car). He plowed the way..

It seems like dryer sheets will leave swirl marks, the stuff is not real soft. I use a netted sponge with water. Just let them soak with water a few minutes and they come off fairly easy.

You use USED ones. Soft and wet with your wash bucket water. No swirls. I would never use a netted sponge on paint!..

Well I don't use one made out of burlap.

I've used a netted sponge with a soft net for years and its never left swirls. http://www.autogeek.net/microfiber-sponge.html

Default C6 Bra on a C7

Drove from Sarasota to Ocala yesterday and the front of my C7 looked like a teenager with terminal acne.
Used a spray bottle with 2 dryer sheets soaked in it and wiped off with another dryer sheet. First time I've tried it and it worked but but there is a down side. You have to wash the car after you clean the bugs off as the dryer sheet solution leaves a white film which, on my Lime Rock Green, looks like crap. Washed it today and detailed the front end. Lots of dings but no love bug damage.
Sure wish someone would come out with a nylon stretch "sports" bra like I had on my C5. Easy on, Easy off, Easy clean, and very effective. I took some measurements of a C6 with a stretch bra sitting next to a C7 at the show in Sarasota and I think it'll fit OK. Since no one offers one for a C7 I'm going to buy a C6 bra and see if I can make it fit. If it doesn't I'll return it but from the measurements I took it'll come pretty darn close to working.

Will keep y'all advised
