We just had a member in the 4/7 club that said it only took 2 weeks to get to San Diego which is much quicker than I would have thought.

Varies greatly, searching will give you the details.

For me it was shorter than other it seems as it only took 5 days with normal stops including a couple overnight stops. That's from Toledo, OH to Milpitas, CA (SF Bay Area).

Don't ask this to Ken! I swear his Seattle delivery went via the Florida Keys! I think his was on the train for 3 years (unconfirmed rumor ).

It does seem to be slower when they use the train. I hope like hell I get the truck.

True rumor. After circling the Florida Keys his car was then railed to Anchorage, Alaska and then back to Washington.

....Washington DC where it was promptly shipped to Washington State in time for Ken's 86th birthday! Of course, this delay was due to Ken's horrible avatar.

Honolulu....where it had additional inspections and was once again bayed. Then in a flash it was put on a boat back to Washington just in time for his 92nd birthday. Not sure if paperwork was signed BHO...

Y'all are wrong. My rail shipment went very smoothly and quickly and I couldn't have been happier.

I mean......what's not to like about a 2,071 mile trek taking 5 weeks in 2014? After all, the Donner Party took less time

Nah.... just goes to show that those whom said "once it arrives you'll forget all about the rail shipping time" weren't far off.

Yea....some truth in that (1800 miles on her since )
