So you think your nit-picky C7 problems are important?
I'm getting kinda tired hearing all the little nit-picky problems people are reporting with their C7. Like, "sometimes I need to press down to close the trunk lid," or "when I twist my knee in an awkward position, I can accidentally hit the door release button."
If you want to understand what real problems are with a car, check out this video from a Porsche 911 owner.
Maybe you will understand the depths of problems that other car owners are experiencing, and you'll appreciate what a great job Chevrolet has done with the C7.

Scraping the splitter.
When you watch that, you really have to wonder how one car could possibly be afflicted by so many different issues. I mean...how the heck does he get a puddle of water on the passenger side floor? Did they remove the windshield? It's just bizarre.

The English are renowned for their sense of humor & this video is a classic example.
Guy has to be justifiably filled with rage and he calmly enumerates the many issues w/ an expletive thrown in for good measure now & then.
He not only got satisfaction & revenge, he apparently got Porsche's attention also.
Still, a lot of similarities between how Porsche handles lemons & Chevrolet's SOP. It is what it is and in this day-and-age of social media, manufactures better be on their game.

Tablet won't open it, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, Porsche replaced the car with a new one. Let's see GM do that.
Opened the video, as expected, it's the same guy, so again, Porch finally did the right thing.

Let's see GM step up and replace all the LS7s due to the valvetrain failures.

Dry Brit sense of humor, great video as long as it isn’t you with the car issues.
With a car that is certainly considered a high end, premium line, Porsche should have offered him his money back or a new replacement long before things went this far south.
A number of years ago, I read an article from one of the car testing/rating people like Ward’s etc. They said that “foreign” brands had fewer issues in general but more cases of cars so hosed up that they were never made right than in the domestic brands. Don

Yep one 911--big deal. Plenty of complainers here about their C7 issues (especially the early VINs). I'd buy another 911 in a heartbeat--never had one issue with any of mine.
AND PORSCHE IS BUYING THE CAR BACK--love to see GM do that (they are a little busy right now recalling millions of cars, so probably not high on their list if one wanted a refund).

A "real" Corvette owner knows that the Corvette will have problems/issues.
Some are bigger than others, dead battery syndrome, rear diff chatter, leaky oil pan, leaky rear seal, catastrophic engine failure on the Z etc.
We expect it.
Yet we keep coming back.
Why? For me personally, its because the car's demand remains high regardless of its consistent problems.

The update to that video shows that Porsche agreed to replace the car or buy it back. He also mentions in the next video that this video received over a million views, and he received phone calls from radio and tv personnel regarding the story. Makes me wonder how Porsche would have handled it if it hadn't became so popular.
The comment about the horn is hysterical.

This is my first car that hasn't required immediate warranty corrections. My last car it was apparent it needed warranty work before even getting out of the dealer lot
This is my first American car and I'm honestly impressed.

Lol, the Porsche apologists here actually trumpeting the fact that Porsche finally relented after getting totally hammered in social media and the press over this guy. You guys make me laugh and SMH. And then to turn to Chevy and say they do the same thing. SMH. Man up and recognize what's going on, rather than running back to your fanboy instincts.

Good thing that GM doesn't have water on the floorboard issues. correct? must be a lot of people removing their windshields. It's the latest fad.

Good luck.
Must be a boring Easter Sunday, as this is the second thread today in which you've tried to goad me into a conflict.

He is Australian-glad he got a new car out of the deal. Someone should suggest he get a C7.
