Had the c7 in for its first oil change and a alignment. My sales guy let me use his 14 equinox demo for the day. This little concave mirror in the corner is nice !
Such a simple thing to do especially with a car that has pretty decent blind spots like the c7
Maybe they thought it would look bad ? Intergated flush like this you can barely tell !

How do you know it came stock on the car and he didn't add it aftermarket?

My 2013 Sonic RS has a convex spot made into the corner of the left mirror from the factory. It is a little small to be very efective, but works OK. Not much you can do with a small mirror surface to start with. Slim.

Your avatar is correct but your assumption is wrong. My 2014 Silverado has a small round one built in which is smooth to the touch. I agree it would be nice on my Stingray, because I refuse to put on a stick on.

My thoughts exactly. A stick on would be useful but I would cringe every time I looked at it.

Way to go GM!
That's some 1970's technology right there.
I'm sure someone in the aftermarket will make a solution similar to VAG for the Audi/VW family of cars.
I have the OEM units on my DD but the aftermarket has come out with so many tinted versions that I'm sure there will be an application for the C7 eventually:
They work very well, and are pretty much impossible to notice when you're just looking at the car, the dotted line all but disappears. The ones GM used are what I would call "trailer mirrors" and nothing more.
Beyond all that, if you setup your mirrors properly and use them along with the backup camera, visibility isn't really that bad. 99% of people on the road just have their mirrors setup wrong.

Would have added additional weight Every ounce counts, I guess!
Same could be said for backup and front beepers - would have been a nice addition to the 3LT option. Lotsa extra weight there too.

I assume that it is a add on from the dealer. My wife has a 2013 Equinox that doesn't have the added mirror and I have a 2010 HHR that has it that I was charged extra for.
I have been corrected by my wife! She didn't like them and covered with a round mirror. Seems it would be the same but what do I know!!

Blindspot
I like the mirrors that let you know that little yellow cars lite up when someone is in the blind spot

If the Corvette came with ******** people buy at AutoZone then I would not have bought a Corvette. That's so stupid looking.
Adjust your mirrors and there are no blind spots. You don't need to admire your door handles while you drive.

And if you see door handles, you aren't in a C7. Stop and go back to your own damn car.

Burning Brakes
I have those on my Ford Escape. They're generally used for towing, something the Corvette won't be doing much of!
