Tone settings for quality sound

I don't think there should be any ire against you or anyone who doesn't like a particular kind of music (or many subjects for that matter) as a person who does listen to rap/hip hop 80% of the time in my car I understand why people think that way but I just don't agree with them. Many people love Elvis, but to me he isn't real music, it's the same crap pop music that we have today.

I wonder if a processor like the audison bitone would help a bit. I've read a lot of good reviews on it. I talked with a knowledgable audio shop owner about a year ago and he said corvettes are difficult to get high quality sound in.

So far the best sound for the music I listen to (yes music), is treble at 25%, mid at 70%, and bass at 60%. With the sound target set to mid-front center. It's not bad now but my lowly Honda Accord has way better sound. Actually only my Chevrolet Cavalier 1996 had a worse sound system. I still LOVE this car though...

I just set it and forget it. Unfortunately I listen to almost everything, from 60's Lynard and 70's Steely Dan to '80's retro, Michael Jackson, '90's grundge, dance, alternative, NWA, Eminem and today's pop....for me to adjust the settings to suit the various music styles which is always on random would take me longer than the song.
Find the a good compromise and run with it, not much else you can do.

I'm not much for compromise. It takes all of about an half a second to make any needed adjustment as a song comes up.

Bingo. You are correct and doing just that with two very high quality 8" subs and an appropriately matched power amp makes all the difference. We also placed the bass roll off **** where the power plug used to be on the center console and it's quite handy. Ultimately the bass went from boomy and hollow sounding to tight and punchy. A huge overall improvement.
thoughts? on the concern with electrical and my gear selection?

About your sound system mods specifically. My C7 is a 3LT as well, and I'd like to make some incremental improvements to clean up the sound quality. From what you've described here, you may have cracked the code on what to do about this.
