Exhaust sound question

Exhaust sound question
I didn't get the performance exhaust on my vette. Is it still possible in settings to make the exhaust sound loud in all driving modes? Or is that only possible with performance exhaust package?

As others have said, you will need to change the exhaust. The NPP in "touring" mode (i.e. quiet) is way too quiet for a sports car IMO. If the non-NPP exhaust is the same, I would be looking after market immediately.

We are still waiting for the two big Corvette aftermarket exhaust manufacturers (Corsa and Borla) to release their Stingray systems.
I, like the original poster, do not have the optional NPP exhaust on my vette and am looking for an exhaust system that will let me hear this award winning engine a little better. The stock Stingray exhaust is slightly more aggressive than the C6 stock exhaust though.
I wish that owners that have installed the Billy Boat or Magnaflow systems on their Stingrays would post their feedback on the forum.

Does the new NPP system work like the C6 system where engine vacuum activates the rear muffler valves? If so, I'm hoping some vendor comes up with a system that cuts the vacuum to those valves on demand so we can control the sound with the touch of a button like the old system "Mild to Wild" does.

I really appreciate the NPP - there are times when the quiet is nice, i.e. during phone calls or a very long drive.

Slightly more aggressive than the C6? That should be fine with me. I like a little engine attitude when I get on the power, that is enough. The C6 was fine, more aggressive should be ok.

This will be my 1st ever Vette and after extensive research I ordered NPP on my C7. I'm curious to know if the sound in sport/track is that loud going down the road? If so I am really excited.

I would recommend extreme caution when turning sound management off, I did and now I find myself shifting my automatic manually to constantly hear the the sweet sounds eminating from the rear of the car. It is like crack, so many things are addictive about this car and the sound of this engine accelerating/deaccelerating is just too wild to pass up.

You will NOT be disappointed!!! This is my favorite option! I have a friend that ordered his with the standard exhaust and he is very disappointed that he didn't get the NPP option. Also the appearance from the rear is MUCH improved with the larger flared pipes that take up most of the outlet surround. The standard pipes are so small there are large gaps that expose the aluminized mufflers. Not a pretty sight!

Go over to tech area. I've posted videos of my non npp car before and after the corsa extreme system.
