Default No wide body-no 14 for me

I didn't like the rear end and no wide body. My mind was made up, no 14 for me! I test drove a Z51 today. The first thing I noticed I couldn't see the rear end. When the test drive was over, I got out and looked at the rear end. Man did it look good. And it was funny I didn't care about a wide body. I went in and ordered a yellow Z51 vert 3LT with black mags carbon painted mirrors and spoiler. DRIVE ONE AND TRY TO WALK AWAY THEY ARE THAT SWEET

I was in getting an oil change in my truck and walked into the show room and tried to test drive a C 7 but they told me no even after I told them that I just sold my Z06. They lost a sale.

Another testimony! My order is produced and could be at the dealer this coming week. I havn't driven a C7, going by all the good reviews from those who have.

Can certainly understand and appreciate your thoughts on that. Clearly Chevy has enough buyers (like me) that will buy them having never even seen on in person. I suspect test drives will be available for most everyone in the next 6-12 months though. Hang in there.

Given your title and the first four sentences, I will admit, I didn't see that coming! Congrats. I'm sure you will be very happy with your decision. I bought mine without even test driving it as I knew I would love it. Coming from an 09 Z06, I've been very happy with my Z51 but I do plan on getting the Z06 in about 3 years assuming I can wait that long but then again, that was my plan from day 1.

I think, perhaps subliminally, that in person, the C7 does display a nice widening of the back quarters. Something that doesn't really come out in photographs. It may also be why side skirts make them look even better because it helps to accentuate the effect.

Or maybe not

Wilburn205, you will LOVE this car! Enjoy the production process, it actually goes pretty quickly even though it seems long.

corvetteKent, I test drove just one of my Corvettes, the first, a C4. Dealer would let me drive it only around their dealership property. While I was doing this nearly worthless exercise, another guy came in and bought it sight unseen. I guess that taught me to just order what I want and get on with it. I have loved them all.

It definitely seems wider in person.

I was hoping you would still hold out for the wide body...which would leave more Stingrays for the rest of us.

After doing my due diligence, I knew I would buy without a test drive.

My car was on the showroom floor. Didn't drive it until the papers were signed and the temp tag was on the back. It didn't matter. After everything I read about the car, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Almost two weeks later, I am still grinning from ear-to-ear.

This car exceeds my expectations. It looks fantastic and drives perfect. The lines and curves are in all the right places. GM gets an A+ from me.

Hooray for you OP. I have been test driving mine since last October. I have a 650 hp z06 in the shop and I love my c7. It is civilized and nasty, all at the same time.
