I also had the polished lip painted black - IMO the wheels visually look larger when the spokes extend all the way out to the tires rather than die into the polished lip. That being said, Glen's car looks great with the gray background because the wheels look like they are color matched to his cyber gray paint.

Hi Love everything you did to your car. Love the horn and seat and want to do on mine. The interior shop I went to said leather on the seat backs had to be replaced because of the holes left by the little metal flags. Was this true or how did your shop do this?

My car is a 1LT Z51, so I didn't have the little metal flags on my seats. Best of luck with all your mods...

I used the G2 brush on kit, because they can custom match the color to your car paint. If you follow the instructions with the kit, it works fine, but you will see some brush strokes at close range, especially with the metallic colors. The paint is very durable and glossy.
The best solution IMO would be to use a spray-on high temp paint, but so far I haven't found anyone that offers a spray option that can be matched to the car's paint. Some guys have had their calipers removed and powder coated, but I don't think this is necessary unless you are a real perfectionist.

Did you remove the calipers before painting? How about clearcoat?

I didn't remove them - painted them on the car. You don't need a clearcoat (and G2 recommends against it) - the paint combined with the activator is very hard and very glossy when fully cured.
