The reveal of the Z06 in Detroit was the new yellow.

The reveal Z06 is Velocity Yellow... and the reveal "show" C7R is velocity. However, the real C7Rs are supposed to be the new yellow so they don't have to change the car next year. However, they sure look Velocity Yellow to me. Either that or the change is very subtle.

We'll soon know for sure. Someone reported that the 2015 yellow would no longer be a tintcoat color. That might explain it being changed but looking almost the same. The race cars always had their own non-tintcoat formula.

It will be interesting to see if the new yellow loses the "tintcoat" option charge.

I predict they will still charge for yellow. Just basing that on C5 and C6. I think it's a supply and demand adjustment. They know if you want yellow we'll pay it. Sad but true.

I heard they are still trying to decide between Meringue Pie Yellow or Lemon Chiffon. Submarine Yellow was in the running, but sunk.

Asked Harlan Charles specifically about rumors of new MY 2015 yellow at recent Sebring Corral. He said "not true". FWIW, he's been a reliable source in recent years.

If nothing was announced in NY or at the corvette event next week we may have to wait until the order sheets for 2015 come out. Anyone know what month that is?

Yes. It's official: There will not be a new yellow for 2015. Velocity Yellow will continue unchanged. That info is direct from Harlan Charles as of noon yesterday.
