Lack of grip?

Steering wheel is fine for me (heated would be a nice option though), only thing in really unhappy with is the heated seats. Heat too slow and too low, would prefer that you could heat back only and back/bottom. Pretty minor complaints!

Not like:
Heated Seats or lack of
Annoyed by bean counter decisions:
Rear Backup camera, where in the 1970's did they find a CCD of such poor quality?
Other than that I'm ecstatic with the car overall. I'm more surprised by the reaction of other people. I've owned Corvettes before and none of them have gathered this much attention. I've driven Vipers that did not get as many people asking questions.
When you get in something and you forget how much it cost you then you know its something you enjoy. My wife hated my other cars but after 2 days she wants to see what a convertible will cost her
I'm usually very conservative in how I rate things because rarely do things stand out above and beyond. The C5/C6 were fast, handled alright, inexpensive, etc...etc...but this feels like a completely different product over all. It is so easy to drive fast, the E-Diff makes all the difference in the world.
As far as the steering wheel, yes I'm not a huge fan of it, but its getting replaced with a Carvaggio D wheel with the extra grips on the sides.

If you don't like the steering wheel, get the suede one. They can be had from dealers like Fithcner for a very reasonable price. There is no slip with the suede wheel though it has no finger notches like your 65'. I've got no complaints with my C7 though I did just upgrade my interior to suede trim including the wheel. The wheel took some getting used to as I was very used to the leather steering wheels in my Corvettes. As such, I never experienced that lack of grip feeling that you described.

The electronics sometimes randomly don't keep my HUD and dash setting. Rare but it's happened a couple of times. I fix that

I don't like the paint quality. I have seen about a dozen C7's and everyone of them has some degree of orange peel. A few should not have left the factory. If they don't fix this for the 2015 Z06 I will be shopping elsewhere. Come on GM I am sure you can improve the paint quality for this car if you put your mind to it.

I'm actually happy to hear this, I thought my C7 was faulty. WAY too low heating in the heated seats. My C6 would just about burn your bottom at the highest level...my C7 I have to constantly check to see if it's even on!

I agree with both.
The memory seats and mirrors never seem to go back to where you thought you set them. They seem to keep going to random places. The lack of the ability to turn off the auto dimming mirrors is downright dangerous, IMO.

I love everything about the car... with one very minor bitch...
Why did they take the turn indicator arrows off the HUD?
The seating position I like has the dash indicators hidden by the steering wheel.

MyLink is a bit slow and buggy- I also don't believe it's a capacitive screen as stated earlier, as the touches require pressure to register. The user interface isn't bad, it's just poky. Sometimes the gauge cluster gets stuck in a mode, or the bluetooth streaming requires bounding back and forth from the radio mode to work. Minor it's, hopefully one that an update will fix.

Crazy about my new 2014 'Vert, but...
My Dodge Journey has:
Better heated seats
Heated steering wheel
Better GPS
Way better SD/USB audio interface...simple and intuitive
Backup camera AND backup beepers
More comfortable power seats with lumbar support that is adjustable
up/down
Better integration of audio, gps, phone, favorites
...all for less than half the price.
That being said, I am absolutely impressed with the design, styling and performance of the C7. I've only got a few miles on my new car and I would not hesitate to do it over!
C'mon GM, time to get your act together on some simple stuff that should be better in a $70,000+ Vette! Seems like the Infotainment developers are a few years behind the times. My concern is that they fix some of the simple software flaws, and be sure to update the '14s instead of just improving things on the '15's
Just my POV,
Ed

The auto seats not working like they should........
And the beating the rocker panels are taking with all the stones the soft tires throw up.

The "ledge" between...
between the door sill and the rocker panel. It seems to catch all of the dirt from the wheels. When you wash the car the dirt on the ledge mixes the water and it looks like hell.
Otherwise its a great car!

...and, I should add,
Why should I have to buy $20 worth of LEDs for trunk & license plate lights?
...$30 wheel locks? ,and
...$150 mud flaps to protect body panels?
They should be stock on a Vette! Time to stop nickel and diming one of the world's best sports cars!
....ok, rant over...

I also think the steering wheel is slippery, but I'm guessing it will get better with age.

a front end object detector, I always end up parking 2 feet from a parking block because I can't see where the f'kn thing is.
A little more power would be nice, a round number of 500 bhp would've been a good start.
Future worries. If the headlight lens get's cracked or broken will I have to buy the whole damn assembly, I sure as hell hope not because that will be expensive but something tells me I will. I wish they could just come off and be replaced.
