Default My New Exhaust

Earlier this week I stated that Corsa was currently working to finish their system for the Stingray. I knew this because they had my car this week to finish the validation of their system. I picked my car up today and I am "Xtreme"ly satisfied with the results. A great aggressive sound when I want and no drone at highway crushing speeds. Just like Corsa is suppose to work. My car was formerly a NPP car and this is a great system from the factory. I was concerned that I would regret trading up to an aftermarket system. I have no regrets at all. I much rather modulate my exhaust sound via my throttle foot than a switch on the console. The system on my car is their Xtreme System with 4.5" Diamond Black Tips. Great look and sound. I will try to post a video, but here is the YouTube link in case I get it wrong.

Sorry for the quality, but I am not an expert. Corsa will publish theirs soon and production will start soon as well.

I cannot really comment on price, as I received a special deal for the use of my car. I would guess it is comparable to their C6 system, but you will need to contact them.

Default System Configuration

It is the axel back system. They have a X pipe option, but not for me just yet.

I should also point out they have a few tip options. The quad 4.5" tips in Polished SS and Diamond Black finish. They are also offering a single tip option in polished SS that that closely fits the cutout in the rear diffuser and has exhaust ports that mimic the tail lights. You get a quick glimpse of this tip in their teaser video. A cool feature is the tips are clamp on so can be interchanged if you were so inclined. Not easy but doable. I had a tough time figuring out which configuration I wanted. Decided to go with the quad Black Diamond Tips, but think I will be getting the single piece soon just in case I change my mind.

I'm looking forward to Corsa coming out with their exhaust. Realizing, as you state, you're not an expert, what else can you say about their different levels of sound intensity they'll be offering? For instance, the middle one, "sport" model, was their most popular for the c6. Do you daily drive your C7? Will your model be too "Xtreme" for day in day out livability?

Thanks for sharing your views and experience.

It is not my DD but will get routine use. They will be offering their sport system and for most DDs I expect this will be the system of choice. I like to hear my system most of the time and that is what I get with the Xtreme. I know it is there in all on city driving, but not objectionable, it is very aggressive when I get on the throttle and there is no drone at highway crushing speeds. In fact at highway speeds in v4 mode it is sedan quite. Also, it changed the pitch of the sound, I love it.
Hope this helps.

No Burbble or popping?

Strange.

That's the best part on my C-6

thats what I wanted to hear! I will be going with just the axel back as well for the mean time and I was hoping that it would sound like that.

Iam getting the $1,195 NPP system but just can't justify in my mind after spending the money for the upgrade to then "throw out" the system and put in a different system and probably spend twice as much again in the process. Seems kinda like a waste of good money to me. But to each his own. I would rather spend that money on side skirts or a splitter I guess.

That sounds great! Will the valves close when in touring mode, etc. like on the NPP?
