That’s my take as well, have never seen a convertible that looks as good as the coupe it was derived from with the top up. So few days in so many places that a convertible can be used. Either too cold or too hot or you can’t converse with anyone else in the car.
Removable top as the coupe has it is the best of both worlds in my view.

Looks like I will be going to the C7 now that the Z06 vert has been revealed. I'm ok with the coupes but the verts are incredible looking. Time to get in line. I would love it if they came out with another burnt orange color. That would make it perfect!

Throw me in with both camps: (1) the vert does a good amount of injustice to the C7 coupe's beautiful lines; one of the best stylistic difference with the C7 over the C6 is the cabin lines extending all the way to the rear, removing the flat wedge-like look, and the vert adds that back due to roof storage; and (2) this vert is acceptable because the Z06 simply looks awesome.
That said, I'd easily opt for the Z06 coupe.

That is going to be one hot vert. Everyone's got opinions, mine is that with the exception of the mid-year coupes, all Vettes look better as verts! But all the other coupes look good too...

Being a huge Vert fan, the C7 lines just don't work well on the Vert. Call me a hater but I've owned my C6 since 2005 and absolutely love Verts! Just not the C7. I feel as it's missing something in the rear. Almost needs some hoops or the trunk lid needs some lines. 
A Z06 Convertible is my dream car, spending gobbs of money on my C6 to "convert" it to a Z06 clone this would be it but for now I'll pass on the convertible, maybe when i see one in person I'll change my mind.
