I certainly would have considered it if he were alive and cared about Corvettes.

My dad passed away 26 yrs ago and his big dream was to one day own a Caddy. I could not afford to buy him one back then and he died not having a Caddy. So if you can afford to buy your dad a C7 and he wants one, do it.

For me, I love to blame my love of cars on my Dad He passed away almost 2 years ago at 94.

I was brought home from the hospital in a new Jag in 1953, and it's been all downhill ever since. At 12 he took me for my first lessons in his Triumph TR 4 on an abandoned airfield in Okinawa.

We're now on our 9th Vette and Dad got to ride in several of them over the years, as well as the '31 Model A Vicky Street Rod, and '33 Vicky we built.

When I got our most recent Vette, a 60th Anniv 427 ( as I also turned 60 at the time), I asked about the date the car was born..... Ironically, it was built on my Dad's birthday...... I knew he was involved with this transaction somehow.

YES, I'd buy him a Vette in a heartbeat

I wouldn't just because the car would never exceed 35 mph.

If I could bring both of my parents back, I would happily buy them a C7 or anything else they might want.

I lost my father 13 yrs ago when he was 65 - I'd give anything to have him back - he'd rather have a truck.

My father died in 1992, after several years in hospital care do to a stroke. He never said it but he liked cars, always wanted to know what I was doing to mine ( exhaust, cam, headers, etc. ). He liked my Corvettes, although he never rode in any of them. He was 81 when he died. If, like the new tv show, he returned I would sure do my best to get him one, even if I had to give up hope of getting mine.

My son bought me one, CG, Z51, blk wheels and I can't express enough my gratitude......it was a complete surprise and I still get emotional when I think about when the kids told me the car was purchased for me.

And unlike one of the posts above, this car will only be driven 35 under duress (black and whites nearby).
