I don't understand this "age" thing as related to wheel color. I'm 58 and I think the black wheels are much better looking than the chrome. In general, I don't like chrome at all and I have always steered towards cars that had little chrome, if any. Having said that, I have the polished chrome wheels because that's all I could find in dealer stock at the time. The car had everything else that I wanted, and I wasn't going to abort the deal over the wheel color. I still may swap out for the black though. Question: Has anyone changed their minds and had their wheels powder coated black (or any other color)?

I ordered black with my TR Z51 Vert. I hated them enough to consider buying another C7. Changed the wheels to silver painted, and now the world seems like a better place.

Quite honestly, this is the epitome of stupid questions/threads. If I didn't like my black wheels, why did I pay extra for them? Of course I like them! Your opinion may differ from mine and that's ok...but to title a thread posing the question "Does anybody like black wheels?" is an exhibition of close-minded self absorption.

It definitely seems to be more of a generational difference. I'm in my 30's and ordered black rims for my C7. I couldn't be any happier with how they look.

I think chrome rims look cheesy and belong on hoopties (and Corvettes that belong to old guys apparently).

Don't get too attached to your black rims . What goes around comes around . Haven't you noticed on a lot of the new cars that the chrome trim and door handles are coming back ?

Well, here's more from the close-minded self absorbed OP:

The correct title of the thread was "Honestly, who thinks black wheels look good". This would include folks who don't have black wheels, folks who don't have any wheels because they don't own a C7 at this point, and those who do. Of the latter group, I suspect they like their black wheels.

But to answer your question, here are a few reasons folks may like black wheels:

* I'm 18, and I want to be cool, i.e., I'm rebellious and I want to be different.

* I'm an adult, but I'm still cool, i.e., so no, I don't ask for the senior discount at McDonalds.

* They look mean, i.e., my favorite movie is Mad Max.

* My C7 lives at the track, i.e., it's not suppose to look good, it's suppose to look fast.

I'm sure there are many others, and the close-minded OP actually likes the look of black wheels with some exterior colors, although would not choose it for himself.

Oh I saw that as soon as it was posted but not sure it wouldn't be too much blue. Plus, I think it needs to match paint really close or it might clash. I want the exterior to be 100% black and Laguna so I feel like black is pretty safe but I would like to see the blue in a photoshop to make the decision.

The black wheels are cool, and the silver/chrome wheels make the LB C7 both sexy and classy. This is the one for me.
