Silver painted wheels look better to me than black painted wheels. I was never and will never be a big fan of black wheels. The best I can say is they look so-so to me on certain car colors. Chrome wheels I despise on ANY modern car built after about 1968.

I believe over time the silver painted wheels will remain popular and the black painted wheel popularity might fade, as I think they are a fad.

It is all a matter of personal taste, so I understand nothing I say is gospel.

Owner looked to be a young 80 YO, if that matters.

On the way home, on Route 66, my 75 YO buddy in his yellow 79, and me(71 YO) in my white 64 had to stop and get some ethyl. Shiny wheels and all that old stuff

Like I said , this Model-T is proof. What goes around comes around. Next year chrome will be back in demand and all of you die hard black wheel guys will be stuck with wheels that you will want to get chromed and will hate the price . I forgot to mention that I loved my black wheels on my Model -T when I bought it new.

The beauty of this car is that it looks good in many combinations of paint and wheel colors. There is something for everyone.

Nothing like shiny chrome wheels to really make a car.

Some cars and some colors look ok with black...but then again, some people think wearing scarfs in July is fashionable.

True. They had to wait until the modern era(1925) of automobile manufacturing to start using chrome on automobiles. Henry had problems getting the chrome to adhere to the wheel's wood spokes prior to that.
