Thoughts on Premier Edition Coupe-Neg or Positive

p.s. after having painted Spyder wheels on my Z06 (which were a PITA), the Torque wheels looked fantastically easy to clean!

Honestly, I was not a fan of either the coupe, or the vert.
1) I hate the brownstone interior. I just don't like it. Would've been much better in Kalahari IMO.
2) Nothing about them is unique except for the plate on the center console. All the options can be ordered on them.
3) They are pretty much all getting marked up 5K min.
4) LB is a nice paint colour, not as big a fan of the LRG.
As far as collectibility goes, I'm sure if you keep it in pristine condition, in 20-30 years it will be worth a pretty penny, but in the mean time, I don't think they will be worth much.

What they should have done to make them special is put a different insignia on the seats instead of the crossed flags, or something on the steering wheel. To make them actually stand out and be special.

Sarcasm aside, I agree. If they were to come with something that wasn't available as an option (besides the numbered plate), to commemorate the launch, would have been really cool!

I had a chance to sit in a premier coup and I was impressed with the look of the car (because laguna blue is a beautiful color) and the brownstone interior looked great. The 3LT interiors are visibly a step up and actually smell like leather. It's a great car if you like that package, but as for collectability, I can't see it. Maybe it gets a grand or two more as a used car down the road but only if you hold out for a buyer who cares, most won't.

That's interesting and good to hear, but under the "STINGRAY Z51 PREMIER EDITION" portion, the window sticker says:
• BROWNSTONE SUEDE INTERIOR
• SUEDED MICROFIBER-WRAPPED TRIM PACKAGE
I wonder which part is real and which is not. The sticker makes it sound as if there are both materials used.

Loved everything about the Premier Coupe except the wheels.
It sold me on the Brownstone interior. It also sold me on the upper suede trim package.
So when I ordered my car it has the Brownstone interior and upper suede package. I get loads of positive comments about how nice and classy the interior is.

When I saw this the other day, he had it listed at $180,000.

The only thing I didn't absolutely LOVE about my Premier Edition #268 wast the chrome wheels.
IMHO Laguna Blue W/Brownstone looks perfect!
No waiting for it to be built and MSRP price tag made it a no brainier for me.
In retrospect if I was to factory order a C7, I would have specced out my build exactly as it came with the exception of the Stingray luggage.
Theoretically on paper you could spec out a duplicate of a Premier Edition, but with all the different parts constraints I seriously doubt you could build an exact copy of a Premiere in short order if at all right now.
My kids or grand-kids can worry about collectors value looong after I'm done & gone.

The LRG car with the Brownstone interior looks pretty sweet and very classy--better than NRB and Brownstone for me. Of course, you can get this combination without getting a Premiere Edition. If I were getting a vert, I'd get the Kalahari interior to match the tan roof, I think.

As stated, it's just a numbered edition plaque with special vin, every option, and quite a few accessories to boot. It's the only car with Torque rims from the factory.
There is no performance advantage that is not available with another Z51 coupe. If it holds value any better, it won't be a huge amount over a standard coupe. IMHO
That said, glad I got mine (PE Coupe #338).

58 is a boring number, too! He's maybe crazy at $100,000, for sure he was at $180,000.

Yes Sir, with a light coat of clear gloss.
I wanted to try the black wheel look with the option of going back to chrome if I didn't like the look.
Now that I know that I prefer black, I will eventually powder-coat them when the tires need replacement.
Waiting for the first tire change avoids the extra expense and hassle of dismounting and remounting the same tires.
