Default Ron Fellows School well worth it!

I just can't say enough about the C7 Level 1 course. I did it last week. The course is just awesome. They have a great curriculum and great instructors/support staff. My wife even got to take laps with the instructors. I wondered what I'd do with her for 3 days while I did the course. She ended up hanging around and riding with the instructors. Might have even convinced her we NEED a C7! Seriously, they know how to run a school and take care of customers. I plan to go back for the Level 2 and 3 courses if I can swing it. The improvement in my driving in just the three days last week was unbelievable to me. Go take the course. You won't regret it!

That is great to hear. My wife sees my 14 Stingray as a waist of money, no need what so ever for it.

That said after I signed up to take the course, she decided she wanted t take the course. Maybe her driving one for three days, she will see why I think the car was a good purchase.

Its great to keep reading such good reviews of the course.

My wife took the class about a month ago and really liked the C7. She was against me trading the ZR1 on any C7 but now she's saying I should consider the new Z06.

I need to chime in here with kudos for the Spring Mountain experience. Attended the Level 1 course last week, just 2 days (unfortunately, 3 days would have been better, but had schedule conflicts). I echo all of the positive reports stated earlier about the instructors, the facility, the condos, restaurant, etc., top shelf all the way. Just one additional observation: these guys are all about making it work for you (and your spouse if she chooses to join you). They are extremely flexible and will do anything within reason to enhance your experience. Case in point: car fit. I'm 6'5" tall, and while I'm very comfortable in my own C7, and their's, putting on a helmet is a deal-breaker. I suffered through it during the first morning exercises on the skid pad, but my spine was so compressed from the helmet jamming into the roof I knew it just wasn't going to work for 2 days. I talked to Rick, no problem, instant "helmet waiver", and I was sans helmet thereafter. Much more comfortable, actually safer as I could turn my head freely, see the upcoming turns, apex cones, and track line, and I didn't feel like I was crossing the line, as the instructors were also without helmets. No big deal, just an illustration of how willing these guys are to work with you and for you.

I began the journey to Spring Mountain Motor Resort today! Left SW Oklahoma this morning and drove to Williams, AZ. Wrapping a family vacation around my two day class. So tomorrow, we're taking the train to the Grand Canyon, then enjoying the evening in Williams tomorrow night. On Saturday, we head to the Hoover Dam, then on into Vegas. I have four of my five kids with me (ages 7, 11, 14, and 16), so we're staying at Circus Circus. Seeing a couple of shows (Blue Man Group and Pet Comedy Theater) while we're in Vegas. Also doing Adventuredome and the Stratosphere rides where age appropriate. Then I pick up my rental car and head to Spring Mountain! CAN NOT WAIT!!!

The Blue Man group can get a little messy in the first several rows!

Booked my B-Day trip for September. Can't wait the staff is very friendly and helpful. Spending an extra night for arrival then lighting up the course quickly followed up with some time at the tables on the strip.

Does anyone know if they leave the alignment stock, or change it to the track alignment settings? I didn't think to ask while I was there, but I'm curious. If no one knows, maybe someone who's going can ask?

Cheers,
Rusty

Cheers,

During one of the classroom sessions I asked the school Director if they changed any of the stock components or settings. He said they use the stock brake pads, tires and alignment settings. Another student asked if they install the front brake rings and he said they did.

I had wanted to get a chance to speak with the mechanics maintaining the cars to ask them a few questions but they were gone by the time we finished our sessions.

Stopped by there on Friday on my way home from Vegas, talked with a couple of folks, was very impressed with how friendly everyone was. Strongly considering signing up, need to sort out when I'd be able to go though.

I'm here enjoying the first morning session! I arrived at 7:30 am and went in the Ron Fellows building. Well, about 5 minutes into the 8 am class I realized I was in the wrong class (day 2 of a 3 day class). Quickly made my way to the correct building and walked in late and somewhat embarrassed. lol

After some introductions and such, the 12 in the class were dividing into groups of 6. My group went out to work on braking and vision. The other group worked on shifting. We are wrapping up a break and are about to swap sessions. It's 10:45 am.

The instructors are awesome, by the way!
