Default TPW of March 31st to April 4th club

WELCOME TO THE TPW OF 03/31 CLUB

For membership please confirm here your TPW and build detail!!

Let me start: AW Z51 Vert, black top,7M, 2LT Kalahari, MSRC, NPP, FAY, BV4 (plaque),ERI (battery tender)

Purchase price $ 73,365.00 CDN, including freight. 10% less in USD. Just an amazing deal for us Canadians...As we usually get the shaft from GM Canada...

Right now out my front door this is what I see... (March 22nd)

And this is what I'm getting in appx 5 weeks...

Just hope all that white crap is gone by then. It has been a long wait as I ordered the last of four available allocations at a small dealer north of Montreal back on July 11th 2013. It was my 50th birthday present from me to me. Can't wait and my level of excitement is rising day by day.

My wife says I'm nuts...she just does not understand...

Well I was told by my dealer that they have not been receiving TPWs for verts. But I am getting pretty much what you are...except black. It was 3300 a week ago so I imagine I am close!!!

And funny that I have never really been a fan of white....but DAYUM this car looks good in white. I really REALLY had a hard time deciding between white and black. I went with black. But I am sure I would have been fine with white as well. Good luck and hope you get your car soon!!!

I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!

I went back and forth for weeks between AW and CGM... I feel your pain...Black is just a class act as the sun goes down and it goes stealth...amazing...I just could not see the upkeep for me... Hang in there it's coming !!!

3/31 - base convertible, Night Race Blue, black top, 2LT black interior, manual transmission, navigation. premium floor mats. $62,150. The problem I see is; the assembly line will be held up as the technicians read the assembly manual to install the stock exhaust system on my car. Seems everyone but me is going with NPP. I had my TPW when my car went 2000, currently 3000 as of 3/18, have not checked since.

No NPP? Going after market or just looking for a quieter cabin?

I am really not into noise, quiet power, staying stock. I never changed out the stock exhaust on my C6. Heck, I would probably have the valves closed most of the time on the NPP anyway.

Coming from a 66' vert with a BB 427 / 425 HP with side exhaust
this C7 even with NPP will be quiet for me...

I guess I'm cheep, the car comes with an exhaust system, I can't get myself to pay an additional $1,100 + for something I'm not overly excited about. On the C6, NPP wasn't available when I purchased mine. I went to Carlisle and watched perfectly good systems removed from new cars as aftermarket systems were installed. I could not molest a $60,000 brand new car, so nothing was ever changed. I'm told the C7 stock system really does sound good, we will see.

Looking at the previous build weeks, we are close to the magic vin #20,000 mark. Will we make it? Current vin #1936x TPW of 3/17. Not sure of current production rate; if they are building 150 units per day = 750 for the week. If this assumption is correct we should be in the low 20s. We'll see.

Was on the fence with NPP and decided YES on it.

It was either NPP or FAY. To keep the car within a reasonable budget for me, I decided to get one or the other.

1) SOUND - Met a C7 owner with NPP at a car show and he demonstrated. There is a very noticeable difference with NPP on.

2) RESALE VALUE - 90% or so of C7s are being ordered with NPP, so I did not want to take a possible resale risk with not having it, although I don't think no NPP will be a "huge" resale risk.

3) COMPETITION - My neighbor/friend accross the street has a Corsa exhaust on his 2006 Z06, and I just could not let him trump me on exhaust sound by too much.

4) NO CONSTRAINT - NPP never on constraint, FAY has been in and out of constraint.

I have asked weeks of TPW 03/17 and 03/24 what vin's they are at. Let's see if we hit 20,000 in our week...

I just looked at the GM Tracker site. Seems the picture of the future build has more definition. Prior seemed more washed out, Night Race Blue showed gray. No changes today, I didn't discuss status on chat line.

Just spoke with rep on the chat function. Add me to the 03/31 club.

AW vert, Z51 - black rims, red calipers, NPP, 1LT, 7M.

I feel spoiled as my order was placed 02/27/14.

Just hope its not gonna be delivered that weekend as I will be visiting family and won't be able to pick it up.

My worst nightmare: all of the tech guys taking it for joy rides, kids running by it scrubbing their unwrapped snickers bars on it etc.
