Dealer Question-9 speakers vs 10....
I guess this question is geared more towards the dealers out there. I went with the LT1 package instead of the LT2 package because I just didn't feel the extra money was a good value. But that leads me to my question. As you know the LT1 comes with 9 stereo speakers and the LT2 comes with 10 speakers. Can you actually tell much difference in the sound quality from the LT1 to the LT2???? Iam guessing only a dealer would really know. Iam extremely dissapointed just for the record that a 70 thousand dollar car comes with NO CD player. Thats just pathetic.

1. No probably no difference in 9 vs 10, they are both bad Bose systems.
2. There is MUCH more to 2LT than sound, for me is a great value.
Console and door panels in interior color
Lumbar/wing adjust
Heated/vented seats
Seat emblems
Bose® premium audio
Universal Home Remote
Auto-dimming mirrors
Memory Package
Color Head-Up Display
SiriusXM Satellite Radio† with one-year subscription
Enhanced Theft-Deterrent Package
Luggage shade/cargo net
3. CD Player What is that??

I'd say my biggest pre-arrival complaint thus far is also the lack of a CD player. Overall, that's a pretty minor complaint in the scheme of things considering the other technology that it does have on-board so I'm sure I will survive. I already have most of my music loaded on a SD card in anticipation

As far as the CD player goes..you don't need one. You can rip all your CD's on your computer and transfer them to a USB thumb drive. I bought a 32 GB stick for 20 bucks and can put thousands of songs on there.

Well when I was a young lad a thousand years ago I use to shoot High Powered rifles without any ear protection. Lost about 25% of my hearing so I doubt seriously if I will hear the difference then. The 25% loss of hearing really comes in handy when your wife is calling you to do an odd job around the house.

You beat me to it!
Clearly we have a well behaved crowd today, as no one blasted him for the understandable over site. I actually never noticed how close those codes were (1LT vs LT1)...which could be confusing to a new buyer!

I guess I'll be the one to be sarcastic.
To the OP; so do you want a cassette player and 8 track as well?
This is what we have all been waiting for. An updated infotainment system. Once you get the hang of how to use it and what it can do for you, you will understand that you don't want a CD player! This system is 2014 ready. None of the next generation cars will have a CD player. But you could add one. Why, I'm not sure.

Since I happen to have the comp seats on a 1lt with black interior.
This was Corvette number 7 so it is easy to know what features are important to me. This will vary from person to person.
I numbered them to make it easy.
# 1 is not need with black interior.
# 2 would be "one thing" that would be good I'm missing
# 3 could care less since I never use the heated seats
In the other cars.
# 4&5 are you serious? Cheap Plastic trim that breaks
and an 8 inch for added SUB?
#6&7 Here again the visor remote? Already have that then with 3 homes? The auto dimming mirror lose some of the need when they coated the standard mirror's to cut glare.
#8 and 9 are to other things to fail which they already are doing with
the memory problems.
Plus they NEVER get used on the other cars. Not wanted.
# 10,11,12 are not worth much either!
I'll take the 1lt any day of the week. Since they gave us the power telescoping and tilt and the passenger seat.

OP,
The addition of the sub (10th speaker) does in fact make a fairly big difference as far as the factory stereo goes. Just like adding a sub in your home theater. That said, the front speakers do provide a fair amount of bass so, not having a sub isn't that big of a deal but it certainly does improve the sound having it.
As to the comment about not having a CD player, I agree with most others here and see no reason for one in this day and age when memory sticks that can hold thousands of songs cost about as much as a store bought CD. If you still use CD's, it's time to start ripping them and take advantage of the new technology. Once you do, you will understand why.
Also as noted, there are other very significant differences between 1LT and 2LT of which the 10th speaker is the least of it. I think 2LT is worth every penny.
