I recently drove from Boise to Oregon coast and back. No real fast driving but lots of mountain passes and two lane roads. These numbers are from full tank to full tank. 1198 miles and 41 gallons of gas. Car is manual and it was in eco mode the entire trip. That is mpg of 29.25 for the entire trip. I was pleased. Did 100 miles once without meeting or passing another vehicle...nice.

Car was filthy in the pictures but I waited until home to bother washing.

If you buy a C7 Stingray, fuel mpg should be the last thing on your mind if at all.

Ok, I admit I didn't order my C7 for economy driving. But I think when technology allows that kind of mileage from a car with this much HP and torque, you have got to be pretty impressed with it.

My old 2003 C5 A/E convertible gets 30 on the highway with the 6 speed manual, and that is cruising 75 - 85 MPH. I love telling people about my economy car.

Excellent!! Of course I realize that "my results may vary"! Only have 271 miles on the beast, the trip home from the dealer for the most part. Didn't use Eco mode, didn't even stay in 7th gear so I could vary my engine RPMs a little more for break-in. Still managed a bit over 22 MPG according to the instruments.

I only got about 23 mpg over 2000 miles but most of it was with the top down and some of it was in ice and snow.

I was a little disappointed. I expected better. I had it in eco mode most of the time on the freeway doing legal speeds (70 - 75 mph)

The first 600 miles the car got 32.5. Then I did 50 miles around a small town for 2 days. That pulled the average down a little. BTW I got on it more than a few times during the trip. I do drive the crap out of the car...this was just an experiment in restraint. ha.

The Corvette Chief Engineer said he hears lots of Vette owners bragging about the mileage they get at meetings/car shows. I recall an article in a car magazine many years ago that the old Rochester fuel injected Vettes could approach 30mpg on the highway. Don

Are these numbers from the cars computer or from mileage verses pumped gas. Car computers almost always error with better mileage then the actual mileage. Sometimes by a large amount.

Great info. Initially I was a bit dissapointed with the MPG. I'm now pushing 1900 miles on the car. Last night I went to Hollywood to see a show. I decided to take it easy on the freeway drive there to see how good it would do as I've noticed my average MPG increasing based on my mixed daily drive.

I set the cruise control between 73 and 75MPH on the flat 30 mile freeway drive and was shocked to see an average of 32-35MPG in eco mode at those speeds. It seems that cruise control really helps improve things coupled with a moderate speed and a car that is fairly well broken in. That said, I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased as it's a substantial improvement over my C6 Z06 which shouldn't be surprising although at the same speeds, that car still got a very respectable 28-29MPG. At 65 to 70MPH one could expect even better MPG and well over 500 miles to a tank.
