Warped Defroster Vent

Warped Defroster Vent
After only 2 weeks, my defroster vent outlet louvers are now warped.
I noticed this on some of the cars in inventory on the dealer's lot, but I thought my new production order would solve that issue.
Upon delivery, the vent looked fine, but now it is warped.
Anyone else have this issue? It can only be seen from the outside of the car looking in.

Mine has warped, too. Haven't had a chance to get back to the dealer to see what they are going to do about it.
Hoping that the vent can be popped out without disassembling the entire dash.

I'm looking at a dash I just bought. They do snap in, but from the inside. It would take complete dash removal to replace I'd guess.....If the vents are even available separately. When you order a dash assembly they are already fitted. The dash is not expensive though ($140 I hear)...Good opportunity to upgrade to the FAY C/F version IMO!!
That particular vent should easily be replaceable without removing the entire dash let alone any part of the dash.

Here is a picture for you "pics or it didn't happen" folks.
I have a slight bit warp on my vents too. Not a big deal and it's not something that anybody would normally notice. When I bring my car in for service I may point it out.
Look close and you will see some of the veins being slightly warped. I added a couple arrows to point out of the warped ones. I've noticed that it seems to have gotten better over time. Like a fine aged wine!

That is NOT acceptable! I have some warping on the same vent on my new C7, but, nothing that bad. Please keep us all posted as regards what GM does about this issue for you. If it turns out to be a simple fix, I'll probably take mine in to the local dealership for a fix/replacement vent as well.

just looked and mine looks like that too, but not anywhere near that bad.
i will probably wait 6 months till they learn how to make that part so that
it does not warp before i swap it out

My dealer simply ordered another part, but unless the part number changes (due to an upgraded beefier set of louvers), it will just warp again in a week or so.
I originally thought it was warped due to the sun on the dealer's lot inventory, but my car is parked inside (home and office), and after only 2 weeks, I believe it actually is heat from the defroster during the winter months which causes the warp.
A better replacement part is in order.

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and they are still perfectly straight. Used the defroster a little on the trip home from the NCM (it was 17 degrees the morning we left Bowling Green).
