Default Not a Fan of Either Until Today

I've seen several new vettes in NRB and usually kalahari or gray interior with either black wheels or base painted aluminum wheels and really wasn't impressed. I may be doing some rethinking after I saw a sparkling NRB C7 pass by my house with chrome non-Z51 wheels. It was gorgeous on the bright, sunny 75 degree day here in north central Fl. I checked the picture thread for Night Race Blue and did not see that combo. If anyone has that combo please post some pics. Also curious what the most popular interior is for NRB. Wondering if brownstone is a good choice because gray is just too light and black too dark. It truly was a stunning car and this comes from someone who doesn't do chrome.

NRM Z51 3LT Kalahari interior coupe. Brownstone would look great as well IMO.

One thing is for sure, you have to see the NRM in the sun to truly appreciate the color.

I also like the chromed non-Z51 wheels.

Beautiful car.........chrome seems to make the metallic pop in the paint.

Car looks great. I think the car would look great with chrome wheels. Contrast the darker color. The kalahari interior is my favorite so I am biased there.

But I would go with a color that looks good in the shade too. I am not a fan of cars that have to be in the sun before you can like the paint color. For example, the LRG. It looks awesome in the sun, but see it on a cloudy day and you wonder what color it is; off black? I could see NRB being the same way.

The NRB looks great in bright sunlight. Completely different color. I think the chromes look great on NRB. The Brownstone interior would give a rich touch to the car.

My Camaro is BRM (Blue Ray Metallic), which is the same color. Looks stunning when clean and out in the sun. And I like that it looks black when it isn't so sunny.

TPW 3/17 - next week - for my NRB C7!

I can't say for certain what interior is most popular with NRB, but in general on the C7, I read that a little over 50% of the cars are built with a Jet Black interior. That means Gray, Red, Kalahari and Brownstone collectively have less than 50%. I'd imagine Black is the most popular on NRB too - that is what I bought.
There is really only 1 color that the Black interior doesn't look the best with - LRG.

NRB with Brownstone. No regrets here.

Our club participated in the Saint Patrick's Day parade in Lexington yesterday. 16 Corvettes and great fun. There were 3 C7's, all with the 3LT interiors and chrome wheels. One special edition green convertible and 2 coupes, ours cyber gray and a laguna blue one. All have chrome wheels and got a lot of comments from the spectators. They saved the best for last in the parade, us! It was great fun and the cars were a big hit. To answer your question the chrome wheels really, really make the cars pop!Name: IMG_1533-1.jpg

What is really neat, black in the shade, two colors in one. I went with a black top and 2LT interior. Base silver wheels.

Beautiful combo, it is awesome. Really stands out and I love the Kalahari 3 LT . I have the CG with Kalahari 3 LT . NRB is my second choice, It is so sharp !!! Have the Chrome wheels as well. Lets face it, our Corvettes are head turners !!

I agree! The CG was my other choice, but finding an in stock convertible in my color choice was not easy, so very happy to find mine. Best of luck with yours, would love to see pics, I'm sure she's a beauty!

NRB with Brownstone as a convertible was what GM displayed at the NY Auto show in April 2013.
Attached is a photo from that show.
