I have a black car and I went for the Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax. This stuff is amazing and extremely simple to apply and wipe off and you don't have to wait for it to dry.

Then I use the Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray wax after every other wash and that takes just 5 to 10 minutes to do the whole car.

I love these waxes!

You will get 1000 recommendations here and they all will work...but good gloss and durability is about the steps and method, not the brand name......
1. Clay
2. Polish- this is where the magic happens, not step 3....
3. Seal - wax or sealant....

It's no longer your dads "wash and wax" procedure....

I'm an AMMO guy. I used the Skin sealant first followed by a Crème carnauba layer on top.

What is the benefit of claying a brand new paint job? Maybe I am missing something ???

Hopefully you won't have to polish a new car but claying the car is a must before putting down your base coat of sealant/wax.

Use what you like but use it often!

I've used Zaino products on my last 7 Vettes and never had any problems keeping them shiny all the time with just a duster. But prep is the key. Check out the Zaino site for what a good prep should include. A lot of work the first time, but after that additional coats are 45 minute jobs.

Your car is dirty when you get it, trust me....a simple clay gets a lot of rap off the car that deposited after the paint went on. Do a Baggie test and see.....put your hand in a zip lock and rub it on a new car, the surface is rough, 75 pct of the time, in my experience

PREP IS THE KEY, NOT THE MAGIC WAX PRODUCT WE ALL SEEK.....

PM me if you want some simple step-by-step instructions and Lists products that will really work well together and make this a super simple thing .....I don't believe you should take all weekend to do a car, that's ridiculous.....

Here's one that followed my suggestions:

Listen to Glen e. The process he describes above will have more impact than the type of wax you select. On a brand new car you can likely skip step 2 at this time.

PREP IS THE KEY, NOT THE MAGIC WAX PRODUCT WE ALL SEEK..... = That is 100% correct. You will seal all the dust on your car with your wax products if you don't clay your car first.

Blackfire Total Polish and Seal is the best and very easy to apply... Removes micro-scratches too.

Use Zaino.

Not only does it look good, it'll add at least 10HP, reduce your 1/4 mile time by a second and increase your top speed

I did the Blackfire protocol. It looks great. I do have one paint swirl on the corner of the hood. What is the best (easiest)way to remove it ??

Thanks

Al

First of 4 Vette’s I’ve owned where I used Zaino. Had a colleague who parked his Vette next to my ‘93 and it always looked very shiny, better than mine. He swore by Zaino. When I looked at what customers were saying, found a simpler way to use the product than the multiple product approach and mixing that he used. I emailed Sal at Zaino who verified it was a good way to use the products. Since I have Crystal Red Tintcoat he recommended I use Z-5. I applied the Z-5 as directed and waited 2 hrs to be sure it was dry. They I applied their newer sealer right over the Z-5, it’s called Z-CS. You just apply it, no buffing the sealer. It took 5 minutes and it also sets the Z-5. I also applied the Z-CS to my black wheels. Found the key is to use the products very sparingly, as recommened. I also bought Z-6 and use as a detailer after washing.
Because the car looked so good I bought the Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner as well. They were easy to apply. Very happy with the products.
