Since in TX it is technically ilegal to cover any part of the wording or artwork on the plate I just got a ~$5 black flexible Pep Boys surround that covers the edges but nothing else. I'm getting some special black plates soon so I don't have a pic of the plates I have now.

Decal Added to Plate
After reading the SC plate cover/holder law, found you could add a decal IF it did not obscure even a portion of any letter of number. Added a C7 logo. Same holds true for any plate cover/holder, it can not cover even a portion of a letter, such as the state or motto! SC Law overview are on the this PDF:

I found the Pilot Automotive flexible frame at Pep Boys and the Cruiser Accessories at AutoZone. You can find both Pilot Automotive and Cruiser Accessories online and use their dealer locator or order direct - just use Google (can't post links to commercial sites - against forum rules).

Here are images of the Carbon Flash colored license plate frame from Top Flight. It matches the existing paint perfectly and really adds to the look of the car.
