Museum Delivery, Road Trip, and Detail
In October I decided to order a Laguna Blue Z51. After talking with seven dealerships across four different states I chose to place an order with Mike Furman at Criswell.
Three of the seven dealerships I spoke with didn't have a large enough allocation. The other four had allocations and I narrowed down my choice to Criswell. Mike is a true professional and dealing with him and the other staff at Criswell was straight forward and to the point. Now that I've completed the order, build, purchase, and delivery experience its easy to see why Mike Furman always has a line of folks placing orders.
With the new C7 I decided this would be a great time to take a Corvette Museum Delivery. Little did I know that this would be on the cusp of a historic event with the sinkhole appearing just a few weeks before. The factory tour was excellent and it turned my wife into a Corvette fan. She has always liked sports cars, but was never attached like most of us are. Now she's talking about possibly buying one as well. We also got to meet CF member, thespymaster, as he was taking delivery of the C7 he won from the Corvette Museum raffle.
After leaving Bowling Green we took a road trip over to Alabama and Georgia before heading back to North Carolina. In Alabama we spent a day at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. In Georgia I dropped the C7 off for a full detail from one of the best, Peachstate Detail.
The Laguna Blue picked when I picked it from the Museum looked great, but after Peachstate Detail completed their work it looks amazing. I had the C7 detailed and then coated with Opti-Coat Pro including coatings for the wheels and all glass. The foundation of detailing is all about the prep and Peachstate Detail has it mastered. It was well worth the trip to Georgia.
I'll be sure to post a little more on the experience in the coming week. I still owe thespymaster a dash plaque picture.

The vibrant colors look really good on the C7.

I think it's awesome that your wife enjoyed the Plant Tour so much that she became a Corvette fan. Love the Laguna Blue with Black wheels and yellow calipers. Enjoy it to the fullest and thank you for doing business with me at Criswell. Call me anytime.
