C7 owners...Are you happy to hear about the price increase?
For those of you, who already have your C7, or have one on order (and are price protected)......Were you actually happy to hear about the price increase?
Those who bought before the price increase have got to feel that they saved $2000 or $3200! It has to make you happy that you purchased when you did. I know I was happy!
Please be honest with you answer! It's not gloating it is just being honest!

Pick one:
If you get off on other people's misfortune you are happy
If you just beat the price increase by getting an order in you are happy
If you waited for a bigger discount you are not happy
If you didn't get a chance to put in an order yet you are not happy

Well, all the sh** we went thru to get our car, glad Ken ordered early. (waiting to be built, RR breakdown, weather, truck companies) Love the car and glad sold the C6 in November because price on them have dropped also.
Now just wish the weather would clear up so we can drive it more ( and I can get a chance to drive it!) Going out in "nasty" wind and rain tonight to go to club meeting and show him off! (just to bada** to call the C7 a "she"

Only due to the NUMEROUS TROLLS with THREAD AFTER THREAD about how "stupid" we are and how we were getting "hosed". I think the new Vette is an amazing value at MSRP, I got my z51 at 1500 off MSRP had 3000 from GM card and now avoided a 3200 price increase, MOST IMPORTANTLY I AM ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE OF THE NEW STINGRAY. Many on this forum value money more than our MOST precious commodity - TIME. None of us knows if we will even be on this planet tomorrow so to listen to SOME OF THE MOST VOCAL the CHEAP a@@es that populate this forum makes me and many others here want to:puke: There fantasy end of model run C6 DEALS ARE A LONNNGGGG WAY OFF Enjoy another year waiting for your precious "deals". To the TROLLS ONLY how does that 3200 taste

I was someone who bought early so I paid less. Honestly being a Corvette enthusiast I still think its a great deal and this price increase would not have prevented me from making purchase. No one likes to waste money no matter how much they have. People though will complain regardless! Gas..Food..Taxes.... unfortunately everything in America is going up except the average IQ LOL

Didnt matter to me one bit, I have a no option car (2LT and A6, thats it) and I'll lose my *** on it either way when I trade it in a year or so from now. I'm not under the illusion that a raised msrp is going to help me one tiny bit, its a first year and low option, but I bought the car to drive until I get sick of it and not for residual value.
Honestly I like the car, didnt think I would, its a lot of car for the money..

You asked for honesty, here it is:
I would seriously consider spending the $2000 savings for some type of therapy. I just can’t comprehend any of the posts referring to who got a better deal.

If you can afford the current Z06, you can afford the new one.
With that said, may come out the same price and have the same $2000+ price increase in 6 months.

Honestly.. I am just happy I have my Night Race Blue C7. I hope everyone who wants one can get one. It is truly a wonderful car . If it is priced to high you have to options both are win win.
Buy a C6 with low millage. Plenty of them around and they are really good cars.
Buy a used C7. They will start popping up for many reasons. Just have patience.

mixed feelings
On the one hand I'm happy to see the incredible demand for the car and I am pleased I got mine before the price increase. On the other hand, I might like to buy another one in the future and I hope it is not priced out of reach by then.

I took delivery on 10/1. I am not happy the price went up. But, I do remember a year ago those who were saying buying then was stupid because price cuts would start six months after production started.

tbh under normal circumstances (and even pretty much under the current circumstances) I'm indifferent towards a price increase because a) it doesn't effect me since I already bought one, and b) I'm not planning on selling mine anytime soon so any slight adjustment in resale value is pretty irrelevent to me too.
where I do find some pleasure in gloating is only towards the few aggressive posters here who would laugh and accuse 2014 A6 buyers of having crap resale since the 2015 they expected to come wiht an A8, and those who laughed saying why buy first year, etc.
If it weren't for those few, I'd be totally indifferent towards the price increaes, but becuase of those few I have a slight bit of "I told you so" happiness lol

It is my hope that increasing supply will result in more discounting so as to negate the effect of the price increase. Everyone than can afford one should be able to get one. Don't want to see any prospective owner hurt by a price increase.
