Default Squeaky foam battery cover

The foam battery cover in the trunk squeaks like crazy in my car. If I take the foam piece out the squeak stops. But then there is a big dent in the carpet.

Anyone else experience this? I tried putting duck tape around the edges of the foam. That didn't work... Any recommendations on how to fix it?
thanks

Put your windows down and turn the volume on the radio up!

Don’t think I have the problem but between my radio and NPP perhaps can’t hear it, if I do! Have had my cover off several times. Would first check that is back on correctly. Then, to change the friction between the surfaces, think I would try coating the cover with Plasti-Dip spray.

had that problem.

big red wire was not straight, causing top of battery plus cover to pop off
the clips. 2 clips on the back, one on the front. So fix that first. Then some
thick double sided tape on the top of the battery cover, put the foam back.

problem gone.

if it was a C6, would never have noticed it.
