I was going to buy the Z06 at release but have since decided to order a Z51 instead for the time being. I intend to get a Z06 eventually but right now I think the price might be a bit too rich for my blood right this second since i couldn't not have a fully loaded one. I'll wait a few years pay off the Z51 and then buy the Z06 when I have a bit more put away into my "shiny new toy" fund.

Buyer's remorse?

The lowly entry-level '14 won't hold a candle to the mighty ZO6!

Funny, I just spent $6k and I now have more hp than the Z will have. And for still much less than the Z will be.

The Z06 is just stunning... I'm done modding cars and don't care what anyone says or spends, I'd like to have a C7 Z06.

I remember driving my friend's 13' ZR1 and was unimpressed. The blown engine seems to have way too much lag and didn't feel anywhere near the 638 advertised HP. (yea, and I floored it). You'd have to tune out the TQ management, voiding the warranty in most cases. I'm coming from a 600hp C6Z and am more than satisfied with the power of the new car.
A few bolt-on MODs and I'll be plenty happy. A 50% increase in power with the new Z won't make the car feel 50% faster

Nah, it's nice but not for me. My silver/red 3LT C7 7 speed is a dream come true. And it could almost be considered an economy Corvette as compared to past models. This latest Vette is a wise purchase.

You bet I would like to have a C7 Z06 - but it just isn't going to happen as there is no way I could justify paying that much for a car (and that is not a blast towards those that can). At this point I'd be happy just to have a C7 sitting in the garage. And someday hopefully it will be there.

I am on a Forum Dealers list for the 2015 Z06. The only thing I miss on my 2014 is the wide body look that my 2011 GS had. When I saw the new Z06 would have the Automatic Transmission it was a no brainer.

This is actually hilarious when one considers the source.
A Corvette-less troll who once owned a '77 Corvette back in the late '70's, sold it two years later with 9k miles on it, and now trolls the C7 Section after having spent the last ~35 years without a Corvette.

Let us know how your search for a "gently used" "creampuff" C7 is going...in 2017, when we are all getting ready to move into C8's.

I am pretty sure I want the new Z06. Time will tell if in 3 to 5 years I am willing to spend the coin need to trade up to a Z06 / Z07

In the mean time I am loving every minute of my C7 Z51. It will be hard to justify the extra.
