For me personally, it will at least make me reconsider the importance of some options I was interested in.

I spend over 2K a year on coffee and most smokers spend over 12K. Cable cost over 1500 a year for a bunch of crap shows. I bet some who are bitching they won’t buy a car now will spend 5K on Apple products this year. Jesus folks pull your heads out of your asses and buy a damn car or take up golf… oh and a good golf club membership will cost you 25K plus fees!

Let's see. Most of the Country has been in DEEP FREEZE MODE for the past two Months. I think that might have held back some Sales.
I know, I'll go pay $65,000 for a new Car that I have to park in the Garage for a few months until Globull Warming kicks in.
That's the ticket for record Vehicle Sales, if you're selling 4x4 Pickup Trucks and SUV's, not High Performance Sports Cars with Tires that operate their best in 80 Degree Weather.
If anyone wants to know how Chevy Dealers in Southern California can ask, and get, $10,000 OVER MSRP, just look at a Thermometer.
As for me, the Top of my Car has spent more time under the Rear Hatch than over my Head. It's been worth every penny and more.

Honestly, those sales numbers are not anywhere near what I would have expected. The car has been in production for six months almost to the day. I get that they ramp up a new model a little slowly at first, but still, that is a run rate of less than 10,000 a year. Other than the "it's cold out" and a somewhat slow up, I'm a bit perplexed at that number.

My order is in, but if it wasn't I would not change my car buying decision. What I might do is reconsider things like striping or other cosmetic upgrades. I would not waver on performance however.

I wouldn't cancel either over the price increase, life is too short. I expect that the average "realized" selling price isn't going to increase much over the course of the year. Dealer markups will disappear and the announced increase creates room for incentives and special offers from GM. In any case the price is still one hell of a deal for the product.
And I much prefer this to the "de-contenting" approach that GM and other makers sometimes take holding the price line by removing standard features which sometimes become options and other times disappear entirely.

The numbers in this thread are for January and February 2014 production and sales, not the entire 2014 model year production and sales.

Are these sales to individuals?
Are sales to Large Dealers and Hertz included in these figures.
If these cars are not on the road, does it matter?

2007 was the best corvette sales year since the 1984 model year and averaged over 3380 sales per month.
At the average monthly rate the 2014 is selling they will need to nearly double the February 2,438 total to average around 5,000 a month for the next six months to match the 2007 total of 40,561 sold.
