I would at the very least want one as an option. The quality of n MP3 is not as good. I do have some MP3s but they are old rail shows broadcast on AM radio in the 1940s thru 1960s, If I want quality I play CDs.I guess when I get my car there will be some kind of aftermarket CD player for the C7

CDs are going the way of the LP, 8 Track and Cassette tape. There is no money (so they claim) in music, so digital distribution will win the economic battle every time.

CDs are so last decade
If you don't like MP3, use a different format on a USB stick or SD card.
My manual says the following formats are supports
MP3
WMA
AAC
OGG
AIFF
3GPP
I am using MP3s on a SD card and they sound more than good - then again Classic Rock ALWAYS sounds good

CD's don't pay enough for me to have one....OH! you mean the plastic things that came after flat vinyl discs with a groove in them and the other cases with miles of magnetic tape.....

Put all of your CDs on an iPod using a high bit rate or Apple lossless format and the quality will be identical to CD. Once all of your old source material is converted, it is really convenient. I have all of my music with me all of the time. I can stream it anywhere I want in my house. Take it camping. Have it in the car. All without the need to carry anything but a high capacity iPod.

Btw have you found a way to play a mp3 player like a Sandisk through the radio so you can see what songs there is and change them with the car controls not the sandisk controls?

I haven't tried - not even with my iPod that I used in my C6. I loaded all my music onto an 8 gig SD card and it works great so I haven't had a need to try anything else!

Was looking for the CD/Cassette option like in my 2001 Yukon. Hahahah.
USB is the way of the future. Hundreds and thousands of songs, "to go".
Sometimes, change is good.
Now if I only knew how to save music in high BitRate files.

No way, I am so glad they did NOT include a CD player. What a waste of space! Do you seriously want to lug around a stack of CDs in your car when you can simply plug a USB stick loaded with 2,000 songs into the armrest?
Any comments about mp3 files lacking the quality of a CD frankly means that you did not create or download a good quality mp3. In the Corvette sound system there's no way you could tell the difference between a CD and a decent quality mp3 file. You'd need a very high-end system and an ultra-quiet environment. And you couldn't be driving.
