Put those 1/2" chrome strip door guards on, they sell em at Walmart.

Please don't. Didn't you already say you are a poor driver?

What's in your garage?

I agree with others; I find your posts entertaining.

My solution is a neatly rolled up blanket attached to the wall in that location.

I just readjust my mirrors in tight and downward. Using the mirrors and the backup camera I back my C-7 into its parking spot in the garage. Then I always have plenty of room to open my driver's door fully without worry. Simple for me, no door guards needed.

i hope for the sake of vette owners everywhere, that as im breezing buy at 185 mph, nobody says--"yikes, really tacky door edges".
Here is another vote for the Expel door edge protector. As someone said it is no more visible than the clear Bra.

The dealer put it on my wifes new Grand Cherokee, and to tell you the truth, I don't even see it unless I am washing the car, and it is a year old.

Same idea just a bit wider.

The best solution is to cut lengths of the item pictured below to fit along the edge of your door from top to bottom. This provides excellent door edge protection.

actually, i used to use this when i owned a boat. its great for putting around the metal bars that are used to support the bridge enclosures. it keeps the metal from destroying the plastic clear widows (i believe its spelled isinglass) when they stay in contact with metal. a somewhat little known secret for true boaters--which i was not.

Honestly, I'm not sure anyone here can help you......Just being real here. You need to make those changes in your behavior and driving style. Good luck.
"wrecked" is a bit hyperbolic. i will have to replace the front bumper section and the grille--both made of inferior, easily crushed material. please, just try to keep things in perspective in future postings. also, the egress problem was the subject of another thread, and clearly a problem for many. likewise, as in my first comment, "whacking" is a bit extreme. scuffing or brushing would be a more accurate representation.

If you have had a post deleted from this thread, you need to review the following rules:

Personal attacks/hostility toward others

The Forum should be a place where we treat one another with civility so that it remains a fun and friendly place to hang around with other Corvette enthusiasts. Hostility to others is rude and inappropriate.

Personal attacks cannot be tolerated. Attack ideas, not fellow Forum members.
Online Conflicts

For the most part, the CF community remains a friendly place where ideas, thoughts, and assistance can be found. Unfortunately, there are times when members forget that this is an Internet forum and issues between members can get out of hand. This includes members turning to the forum to air a personal offline/on-line problem which results in sides being drawn by participating members.

In these situations, it is the forum's role to expeditiously end any conflict for the good of the forum and its membership. The forum's goal is not only to remain family, work, and corporate server safe, it also will not serve as a battleground where offline/on-line personal matters and drama are permitted to be played out in front of other members.

Any thread(s) that contain open bickering, name calling, subtle derogatory messages, "digs," personal attacks, or anything negative in nature will be closed/edited or deleted, and any participating members who post in violation of this rule, will jeopardize their posting privileges.

If any member is being harassed on-line in a thread or privately via PM, they should avoid a confrontation with the offending member and immediately report the problem to a section Moderator via PM, or by clicking on the "report post," icon under their user name.

The Moderator will evaluate the issue and take appropriate action to rectify the situation.
Also, if you quote a post that violates the rules, then your post, by definition, also violates the rules.
