No C7's to even sit in.
As a c6 owner I am now getting interested in the C7. I am 6'5 and have heard there is not as much room in a C7. Yesterday I went by a large corvette dealer on the SW side of Houston and was shocked to find they did not have a car I could sit in. All I heard was how hard it would be to get one.
They did have two new ones which were sold, and I admire them for not letting people sit in them.
If you want to see if you can fit I suggest you call first, which is what I will do before driving up to the north side of Houston.

Unusual for a large dealer not to have a couple in stock by now. I know the dealer in Dallas where I bought mine a month ago had 3 others for sale. I'm 6'4" and had the same concerns but, after playing with the seat adjusters a few time, found an adjustment that worked for me. Not SUV like room, but fairly comfortable even on longer trips. If you fit in a C6 you'll fit in a C7 but the overall feel is just generally tighter.

6'5" forget it

Im 5'11 and while I fit, the top of the windshield and sun visor gets in my view. It's annoying. With a helmet i barely had enough headroom. Prob have to look to the aftermarket to lower the seat.

Took my neighbor for a run in my toy yesterday (he's a Cobra guy) and about 6'5" and I'm guessing around 280. He really struggled to get into my C7 with stock seats. Getting out was even more entertaining (for me!).
I don't think he would have made it into the drivers seat.....

I never sat in one, or even saw one, before my order. I wasn't really worried. I owned an MGB when I was younger and drove a Miata a few years ago with no space issues. I am "only" 6'1".

Sorry you did not find one to sit in, but you will. I too had read the feedback from larger guys...particularly with the manual transmission. At 6'4" 240lbs, fairly fit, I was concerned I would not be able to get a manual for the first time. I found one at a local dealer and set in it for a bit.
I think it comes down to body type, because I fit just fine and shifting clearance is a non issue. I would say I'm evenly proportioned, and not "all legs". If I lean my head all the way back on the headrest (which I don't do while driving) I can feel my head touching the B pillar...but less so than on the c6 where my head used to hit the under side of the B pillar when I went over a bump.
However, the passenger side is smaller. But I'll never sit there and my wife has plenty of room! Good luck

HUH! 5-11 you will fit! Try lowering the down button on the seat! I'm 6' and have room over my head.

Here's just a thought, perhaps next winter for those who garage their C7's instead of doing that, approach a local dealership and for a fee let them use it as a show piece (indoor showroom only, no test drives). Allow them to let people sit in it, feel it out but if there's any damage, they have to repair it for free. Might as well make money since it's just sitting anyways.

I thought could hold him so off we went with the truck leaning to one side to the lake. Once on the dock he couldn't make the step so he nelt down and put a leg in and I mean a leg!
The boat started to drift away ! he started to scream. I thought he was going in! But he rolled and fell into the boat!
Never forget the "boat ride"!

I'm about 6'3" and 240. I fit in my C7's Comp Seats with no problem whatsoever.

of about 3 inchesTo the OP,
go back in a few days, if the units are still there, ask them if there for sale, not if you can sit in one. I bet one of the those puppies isn't sold.

As I have seen before most Corvette people are great folks and I have had a very nice offer to sit in and drive another owners C7. I will be in Dallas this weekend with some time to kill so plan on going by a dealer there and finding one. I expect it will be a tight fit but I have modified seats in the past for cars I wanted to own. I once had a Pontiac Fiero and was just about sitting on the floor. It was like driving a large go cart... But I was 25 years younger. Thanks for all the comments!
