It's a little flatter and wider than I'd like, the C7 rear end is fantastic.

IMHO, the c7 looks stunning from every angle except the rear. But, then again even Ferrari got it wrong on the F12's rear.

This looks perfect. Would be interesting to see a torch red where the red is done exactly like this. Red all the way down is too over-powering.

With the black on the bottom like the above picture, it may provide just enough contrast to make it not look much larger. Of course, can't tell until someone does it.

That's your opinion, which you are entitled to. However, many people are fine with it as it is. It's not hurting sales or positive reviews and acceptance of the car.

if you ask the general public, you'll get a much different point of view than on this forum, most of whose members own c7s or older corvettes.

about 1 in 3 don't like it. if gm wants to pass up 33 percent possible increase in sales, it is their choice.

the only thing that makes it somewhat acceptable to me is a black, dark blue or dark gray car, a 35 or 40 thousand dollar price for a used one in a year or two and the fact that it is such an interesting car mechanically and performance wise. the only reason i can figure that they would build a car that is so attractive from the front and side and so unattractive from the rear is that they sacrificed beauty for aerodynamics and performance.

still a wonderful job in all other aspects from my point of view, and kudos to the men and women who were responsible for its creation. every one of them that I have seen on videos show so much dedication. their energy shows in the finished product.

I am fine with it too. Like I said, not a deal breaker but the silver cars rear just looks better...IMO...

Cite your source. And I'll tell you now you don't have one.

I worked the Chicago Auto Show last year, Corvette display, and tens of thousands of attendees passed through. Every day, there were two or three who stated "I don't care for the back." Many who stopped to chat for a few minutes, either with me or one of the others, loved the car and never pointed out the rear treatment as ugly. Many didn't stop to talk, but gave thumbs up or just said in passing "Beautiful" or "Awesome".

I'm not saying the rear is loved by everybody, but the C7's rear-end is NOT disliked by 33% of people who have seen it.

I think mine might be too wide for the competition seats.

I was going to post along these lines, using an image of the rear of one of my models.

Then I thought I better not; too much like CFOT.

It's amazing how on this forum so many people take offense to every little single thing that someone says is their opinion. How hard is it to realize that often there are others that don't see things "exactly" the same way. Some people like it as is, and others think there is room for improvement. There is nothing wrong with that, as it is your, his, her, my car, and everyone gets to choose what we like or don't like.
