Your 1st Corvette vs your C7
Are you just as excited about your C7 as your 1st Corvette. My 1st Vette was a 1970 4spd Ragtop in Donnybrooke Green, man I loved that car. I was a young buck, single, not making much money but I had to have that car! Most of my money went towards the car payment and insurance, but that was OK, I didn't have to look out for anyone but myself. I guess you could say I loved all the Vettes I have been able to own, but the 1970 was special. She may have not been a virgin, but she was my first.. Save the wave!

Jim,
I've had 14 Vettes including my 1st in 2005 (when the C6's came out).
I get so excited about everyone of them that I can't sleep. Guess that is a yes.
BTW, Love the AW C7.

This will be my first new vette. My other 2 were at the time of purchase a 13 yr old 1978 L82 and a 25 yr. old 68 427 convertible. This will be my first vette with a warranty (lol) that I don't have to worry about breaking down.

My first Corvette was a 1966 327/350 HP 4 speed convertible with a 3:70 posi rear. It also had power windows, antenna and the Teakwood telescopic steering wheel. All original 21000 mile car that I paid $2100 for in January 1972.
I was more excited with that, as it was my first Corvette at 18 years of age. However, the C7 is many times over a better car!

My C7 is by far the most special for me because i actually ordered this one for what i wanted. My 08 I was on the lot and bought. tHE c6 best feature was the power it held. I just think the C7 is a complete car. My C6 felt like a rocket on wheels but there was nothing in the cabin like in this C7.

This is my 1st, and I'm developing some really unhealthy habits that are making the wait unbearable, but will make it o-sooo-sweet once I finally take delivery.
... In the mean time, though, I have GOT to find a way to stay away from this board...

Amazing! My 1st Vette was also a 1970 4spd Ragtop in Donnybrooke Green in 1970. I paid just over $6,000 for it new. My new one is a LRG coupe with Kalahari, about the same interior color as my 1970. Once I saw that green was again available after 13 years without it I knew I had to have another like my '70.
The 1970 is one of a handful of cars I wish I still had.

My first Corvette was a 1962 Fawn Beige 327 250 HP wonder car. Leaked, rattled and would not stop but the women loved us both! If I had it today it would still draw a crowd.. Not me, however..LOL

This will be my first Corvette, I have always been a German car guy mainly BMW and Audi's. I was strongly believing my next car was going to be a 911. But I just loved everything about this new C7, first Corvette I ever even considered. It is just such a bargain for what it is, and I can't really recall another car that got me this interested so quickly.
Consider me a convert, waiting for May to roll around to get my car.

Five weeks from today, I hope I pick up my 1st Corvette at the Museum in Bowling Green. This is going to be a long five weeks. The only thing saving me right now is the weather is too bad to be driving here. The anticipation grows each day. I may even start a countdown clock on my computer so I can know exactly the number of days, hours, minutes to pick it up.

I just ordered a Cyber Grey/black, 7-speed manual 2LT. My third Corvette. My first two were C6s with Z51, one was an auto, the other a manual. Had way more fun with the stick so I'm going back to one with the C7. While I really would have liked the Z51 package, the wait was too long and the discounts too short. In the end, I will thoroughly enjoy the C7 . . . . I can hardly wait.

My first Corvette was a 1974, L-48, auto trans. Not the best performing of the Corvette line. I was rather disappointed with it at first.
I soon went to work on it and installed a 1970 LT-1 with about 400 HP. Then I did a lot of suspension work to make the car handle. I ended up autocrossing that car at the national level and owned it for 32 years.
I finally sold it when I retired and bought a new 2008 ZO6. Of course I miss the '74, it had become part of me after all those years. But the ZO6 has more power, better handling, is more comfortable and gets 25 mpg.
We have a C7 vert on order for my wife and I have no doubts that it will be even better.
