Blow dry your C7

drying
I"ve used a silicone wiper blade for 9 years and never noticed any scratches. Still my c-7 should be here in under 10 days and want the best. Any comments on the blade.

I've had mine for 10 years.Used it on black cars with no scratches. If it squeaks it means car is waxed.

Just picked up my TR-Z51 last week, when it comes time for the first bath.It will be done by me by hand. Picked up a good idea on line how to dry your car. They said use a electric grass blower highest blowing power goes for about 100 dollars, you know the stores.DO NOT USE A GAS BLOWER.I believe this is a very good idea, will get those places a towel never gets.R

I had been using an electric leaf blower for 10 to 12 years. However, I recently got a Master Blaster and I can only say that it is absolutely awesome. The air that comes out is slightly heated which significantly shortens and eases the drying process. I use it everywhere. The door jambs and hinge areas, the space around the open rear hatch, under the hood, wheels, Grill and ductwork, etc. I even open both doors and the hatch and use it to blow the dust out of the interior.
There is nothing like it.

Not sold on blow drying period! IMO To me it is a gimmick at best.
I use an absorber from anywhere
for 10.00
The final dry is part of the wash.
If you don't have a drying besides the blow dryer. You will always find stuff you missed with the wash mitt only you dried it on. I just keep putting more coats of Liquid Glass. To keep the clear coat/paint protected.

After drying, I go over the car with Zaino gloss enhancing detailing spray if I'm not rewaxing. That gets anything washing left behind and does it better by having the lubricating spray there to lessen any chance of wiping the residual dirt around and causing swirls.
To each his own... I just find that blow drying the car gets all the water out from under the emblems, out of the rearview mirrors, out of the cracks and crevices in the bodywork and diminishes the runs, drips and water trails that you see invariably after the car has been driven or parked for a while.
Don't knock it till you try it.

I use a commercial grade dog groomer blower / dryer.
it's pretty much the same as a Master Blaster but much easier to get the $300 price tag past the wife.

I use a 2000 psi electric power washer, and also the classic sponge and bucket, for the wash, then the wiper for drying the big stuff, then follow with a cordless leaf blower,, Then its detail spray and only a new microfiber. so far so good, its better than any car wash in my area...

Thank you for the Best Buy sale tip Buzzard - just finished ordering --- I have always used my leaf blower and this thread allowed me to do some research on various opinions about that. While I am still open to using the leaf blower on certain cars, I now see value in the Blaster for getting into the small places that you would not usually use a leaf blower for. AND - I will never use a leaf blower on a black car again (or my soon to arrive Stingray)! Thank you all for the education.
