I understant what constraints are. I even received a call from GM the first of the year informing me that the constraints for the carbon fiber roof would end on Jan. 6th. If they did or did not, I'll never know. They are building cars with that roof now and they are building cars with the Z51 option too. I pretty much know the why some dealers are getting cars and some are not. I would like to know who the butt hole is that makes that decision, and dose not care about the old saying, "First come first served". So it's kiss the big guys butts and don't worry, the little guy will still buy that C7.

Maybe you should consider contacting the larger allocation dealers if you haven't already?

I'm stuburn. I'm staying with my dealer Abel Chevy who has been a Chevy dealer for 77 years. I'm getting the car at MSRP, and anybody else that buys a C7 from them will also get it at MSRP. They currently have four available. They have never marked up their cars and never will.
I could go to at least five other dealers in the Sacramento area three of which I bought Corvettes, but I refuse to pay from 10k to 20k over.

I'm sure you heard this before from the myriad of threads I've mentioned it in but my original order was through a forum dealer at MSRP. After no movement, I went to a different forum dealer, car went to 2000 within minutes of the order being placed and was built the first week of January. Oh yea.. Z51 and $3k below MSRP. This process started last November so I haven't been waiting an inordinate amount of time.

Sorry but you've made your choice, refuse to accept reality and change your mind so you're stuck where you are due to no one else other than yourself...

YMMV of course......

GM can't or won't answer my question and my dealer can't tell me anything either.
What's holding up my order?
Well, you can't get an informed answer without first giving an informed inquiry.

There are many reasons that your order could be held up and the first thing would be your choice of options. Why don't you post a list of exactly how you ordered your car and then we can discover if that's the issue. If not, we can move on to the next thing.

I want answers too. If there is a Forum dealer out there who can build me a yellow vert with comp seats, Z51 and carbon fiber interior, I'll cancel my order at the local dealer and buy from you. The only reasons I haven't done that are because I have a trade-in and have given them a deposit.

I tried that, but the people around me thought I was having a seizer because I'm so old.

What's holding up my order?
Your dealer has TOTAL control of there allocations! They KNOW how many Vetts that are allocated to them every week.. they get there sheet of allocations for every GM car, every week!!! An order number means NOTHING that is code 1100.
Order then has to be confirmed by your dealer with his allocation that is code 2000.
Then you are on your way!
Dealer has complete control... if he has allocations!

EXCEPTION: eg. you order a Z51 with carbon dash (FAY) dealer could have a allocation for Z51 but no allocation for a carbon fiber dash ! There are still LIMITED numbers of certain options! carbon fiber dash.... clear carbon fiber roof...completion seats.... and even the transparent roofs.. these May hamper your order even if your dealer has Z51 allocations he may not have allocations for these options! At that point then it is GM's fault (supply and demand issues)

hoped this helped
