Default Jack Cooper Transport to Toledo, OH

So my Vette is on a JC Transport headed to Toledo, OH.

I'm in Northern California, specifically shipping to Boardwalk Chevrolet.

Will it end up rail or go transport to the Dealer?

Yup - by rail

First on CSX to just outside of Chicago where it will be transferred to Union Pacific. It will go to the nearest UP depot, probably San Fran, sit for a couple of days and then be trucked to the dealer.

My C7 was built and ready to ship by 1/10 and I still don't have it (it's going to Spokane, WA).

Good luck

Mine was built on 1/17, departed BG on 1/23 and delivered to the Toledo for rail loading on 1/24. GM customer service (via phone call) told me it was still in Toledo when I called them this am, 2/3. Not long after that call, I received a text from my dealer telling me that they had a call telling them my car was in Arlington, CA headed to it's final rail stop in Milpitas, CA (Bay Area). It will go from there to Elk Grove via truck. The good news is that it is nearly here!

From GM Workbench it looks like I've been stuck in Toledo since 1/31. Dealer doesn't see an ETTX number.
Tried calling GM last week, that didn't go so well. Each answer they provided was more ridiculous than the previous and then they just transferred me without telling me to the dealer.

GM Cust Service thread won't give out ETTX by policy.

Any ideas anyone?

I'm pretty much hoping it has been on rail for a few days and I'll get a surprise call this week.

Would have rather of tracked it.

I got my ETTX number by contacting GM CS at their website. I was rather surprised I was able to get it that way.

Good luck with your shipment. Mine finally arrived in Spokane, WA yesterday - 30 days to the day since leaving BG

Default Argh

It was only a matter of time until the bad weather reason was going to be thrown about. I hope they have my baby wrapped up nice and warm from those nasty elements that won't let them put the car in what I hope is an enclosed rail car.

GM response to my 10 day delay in Toledo -

"Your vehicle is currently Bayed at the VDC in Toledo, OH. It is currently awaiting a Rail car to be assigned. Due to the weather there was no way to safely transport it."

Was finally able to answer my own question. Looks like it will be in a rail car like the picture below.

(thank you Zymurgy for the fix of the broken link)
